Second visit there, wonderful place, just as good as the first time. Loved it!

Had a lovely holiday at Beech Lodge. Owners Monica and Derek remained accessible but not obtrusive. Lovely cream tea on arrival made by Monica. Could not fault the location or cleanliness. Lovely and warm. My only minor point would be that may a few more pieces in the kitchen would be useful. Dish to utilise as a fruit bowl, glass jug for Pimms/cocktails and lidded casserole would have been an advantage but as said, only very minor points.

Our stay at Waldon Valley lodges was both peaceful and relaxing, we both wished we had booked a longer stay. The lodge had a well appointed kitchen and the whole place feels like your in a 5 star hotel suite. If you like nature\birding, this is a great place to stay. We saw a Kingfisher, Jays, Blue Tits, Great Tits, Marsh Tits and Nuthatch's to name a few as well as Deer and Foxes in the surrounding land, all of which you are free to roam. Being located in an old quarry, there is no light pollution which meant the sky above looked amazing. Both the wife and I, and the dog look forward to returning to Waldon Valley lodges in the Spring/Summer.
