Description

Beckaveans Granary is situated on a working farm, and close to the beautiful coastal villages of North Cornwall.

Perfect for couples or a small family looking for a rural and peaceful spot away from the hustle and bustle of modern life, yet close to the amazing North Cornish coastline. Beckaveans is home to the award-winning pedigree Beckaveans herd of South Devon cattle. The two semi-detached barns (refs UKC1450 and UKC1451), converted from original stone farm buildings, are located on a working farm in the midst of rural North Cornwall, close to the little village of Jacobstow. The picturesque seaside village of Crackington is 4 miles away and Davidstow, where the well known cheese originates, is 7 miles away. The A39 Atlantic Highway is nearby making this a perfect location for exploring this dramatic coastline. There are many interesting places to visit, including the seaside resort of Bude, the village of Boscastle, Tintagel, the legendary home of King Arthur and Port Isaac where Doc Martin is filmed. There are many fabulous beaches for swimming, surfing and building sandcastles. Each cottage has a rear sitting-out area with garden furniture. They both have full oil central heating and the granary has a lovely wood burner in the living room, making them ideal for holidays throughout the year. Beach 3½ miles. The cottage is a wonderful place to stay. We had all that we needed there and it was so modern and clean. We did not expect this as we booked from Germany. I read the scores and recomendations of this cottage, and thought if only half of them are true then it is a good place to stay. We where overwelmed,. The owners are such friendly and lovely people and the cottage ist a `'must'. We had a comfortable and lovely cottage to come back to every night. Would definately book there again and recommend it to anyone without hesitation.

Great place to stay for visiting North Cornwall, cottage itself has everything you would need for a stay, nice welcoming homemade cake left for us on arrival. We stayed as two couples and with the benefit of two ensuites its ideal. Very warm in the cottage with the central heating and the added bonus of a log fire if you feel the need, also very quiet other than a few cows reminding you you're in the countryside There is a local pub which is about a ten minute walk from the cottage but make sure you take a torching the evening as the lane towards the cottage has no street lighting. We would definitely return here if staying in North Cornwall again.

A lovely cottage in close proximity to all of the attractions (Eden. Lost Gardens of Heligan. Port Isaac. Tintagel). Thank you Ada & Russell for making us feel so welcome on your farm.

We thought Beckaveans cottage was in a lovely peaceful location, the owners of the farm were very welcoming and friendly and we enjoyed talking to Russell. The cottage itself was beautiful and very comfortable, we wish we could've stayed longer.
