Our second visit and hopefully not our last. This place never disappoints. It is a home you dream of owning and living in. Everything you could wish for.

Beacon cottage is superbly situated on the edge of Dartmoor, ideal for walking or visiting the many attractions nearby. The cottage is really kept and equipped, clean and spacious. The garden is big enough for children to play in, although the weather meant we couldn't make much use of it. The boys loved the games room and spent quite a while playing on the table football, although they loved coming back in for the recliners! Some local walking information would have been helpful - we ended up buying a book of short walks for Dartmoor - as it wasn't until our second to last day that we were told we could walk up the small lane behind the cottage to get onto the moor. We found everything we could want in Ivybridge, which was even in walking distance for us, and ordering a Tesco delivery meant that we didn't have to worry about shopping or bringing food. The cream tea was most welcome, as was the fudge that we didn't get to see. The beds were comfortable and the property was warm. In all it was a splendid holiday, even if we did get the standard damp Dartmoor weather and we all ended up with colds. We would definitely return and would happily recommend a stay in this lovely cottage.

Beacon cottage is a spacious, comfortable home with three good bedrooms and a spacious lounge with amazing views. Situated on the fringe of Dartmoor there are wonderful walking tracks literally from the doorstep. The property is very well equipped and the kitchen works well with an Aga in addition to a conventional oven and conventional hob. An open fire in the lounge made a stormy evening a cosy experience. A very enjoyable stay.
