Beacon Cottage is a spacious, substantial detached house with a bright and light interior situated just a 2-minute walk from Dartmoor National Park on the edge of Ivybridge. This holiday property has the most magnificent, far-reaching views across the rolling countryside as far as the sea on the horizon. Being just a 5-minute drive from the A38, Beacon Cottage is a lovely base for those wanting to explore the wider region. This is a lovely, family-friendly house, perhaps ideal for visiting relatives in the area, summer holidays, or a cosy winter break with the open fire in the living room and central heating. In the kitchen, there is an Aga, electric cooker and induction hob. There is direct access onto Dartmoor National Park as the moorland behind the property is the start of the Two Moors Way, which walkers will just love with its stunning scenery and amazing views; the coastal walk is also nearby. Ivybridge, the nearest town, has an indoor swimming pool, leisure centre, good shopping area and supermarkets. Ivybridge railway station is just one mile from the property with easy connections to Plymouth. The local area is also well served by ample bus connections, visitors can park at the railway station (free all day), with a bus every half hour into Plymouth. There is riding available 2 miles away and golf 3 miles, with easy access to St Mellion Golf Club. The city of Plymouth, with its historic Barbican area, restaurants, bars, Hoe and waterfront, is a popular place to visit, and is just 20 minutes away in the car. The rural market town of Totnes, with its eclectic array of shops, is about 30 minutes’ drive. Shops 1 mile.
