Brilliant location, lovely coast, seeing the seals with their babies was fantastic. There were 10 of us, all adults and house was spacious and what a bonus all bedrooms having an en-suite. House was generally clean and warm and log fire added cosy touch. Big utility room on back was great for all our walking boots and drying off the dog. Just a couple of things need attention, a bolt on the en-suite of bedroom 1 as door does not stay closed so not very private and the water from shower and bath was very, very slow to drain away. The bunk beds proved very wobbly and my daughter and niece are only light weights. Little short on some baking equipment but luckily we took a number of foil disposable trays for doing our Christmas dinner and the big Aga oven coped well. Overall we had a lovely stay.

We had a very enjoyable holiday at Sea Palling. Beach House was in a perfect location, the beach being so close was great for our grandson and dog. Beach House was ideal for all the family, ages from 5 months to 67 (7 and a dog). We found that the house could have been a lot cleaner and perhaps a freshen up. Cooking utensils were very sparse and some could have been replaced with some new ones. We also found snail trails in the lounge every morning, and actually saw two large slugs late one evening, which we disposed of in the garden. I really don't like moaning but for the price we thought it was very expensive, considering the points I have made.

Ideally located for the lovely sandy beach, which is just a few minutes walk away. Great for a family get together, with plenty of room and all bedrooms en-suite.

Lovely house but could do with a good clean. Dog poo left in the back garden when we arrived which we had to remove ourselves. Dust all over the house. Oven didn't work and we had to buy extra food as we couldn't cook the food we already had and it was wasted. Bedroom door upstairs doesn't shut properly and we had to put a bag in front of it for privacy. Dishwasher was left full of pots and didn't wash properly as it left a film all over the dishes and glasses. The downstairs toilet smelt of strong urine and there was hairs on and under the toilet seat. Good job we took our own camping chairs as there was not enough seating outside for 8 never mind 10. Kettle was full of limescale which I don't feel is hygienic. Shower leads full of limescale. Hoover didn't work either. Sounds like many minimal things however when you are paying good money for a holiday you expect it to be perfect. Feel as though it was over priced for the house. The location was gorgeous and local amenities where great. Only way I would revisit is if the house was up to high standards.

The location of this cottage is great, only 100 meters from the beach, with a few local amenities, beach bar, fish & chip shop etc. However, the house itself is in need of some TLC and a deep clean wouldn’t go amiss. Our first impression wasn’t good as the wheelie bin was full and there were an additional 3 bags of rubbish beside it. There was some space in the recycling bin, but as that wasn’t due to be collected till after we left, we made full use of the local recycling facilities. The rubbish wouldn’t be so much of a problem if there was any information provided as to what could be put in the recycling. We guessed the basics, but as every area is different we can’t be certain. Advertised for 10 adults, there are not enough seats in the living room, it was a squash for the 9 of us. Also in comparison to much of the other furniture, the dining table was poor, actually being an 8 seat patio table, the parasol hole being hidden by a lazy susan. Again 9 was a squash seated for a meal. One bedroom had bunks which whilst full size beds, were certainly not sturdy enough for 2 adults. We tightened the screws up when we arrived to make them useable for 1 as they wobbled when touched. In the kitchen, we found a general lack of some basic equipment that I would class as standard in a 4* cottage, no casseroles, and lacking ovenware generally, no sieve or colander, no jug for measuring or mixing a jug of Pims (we are on holiday after all), no means of measuring dry ingredients (scales or measuring spoons) and insufficient glasses and mugs. Outside we understood why there were no pictures of the garden, due to the large old static caravan down one side. Whilst it was not in use, it is an eyesore.

Good accommodation for a party of 10 persons with an enormous age range. Enough local facilities to exist on a daily holiday basis, plus a superb sandy beach. To get the services of more sizeable shops you have to travel: the same for entertainments ! The house was generally well equipped, but one toilet would not easily flush properly ====== irksome. Essentially the property was very comfortable. We felt the price of the let was at the upper end of reasonable. We replaced the washing line : the ancient caravan in the garden rather spoilt the garden and the instruction to remove shoes upon entry was unacceptable considering we were paying for cleaning services. Indeed some of the kitchen hygiene needed more thorough cleaning. Still we enjoyed our stay !! However, our criticisms are meant to be helpful, and overall as an accommodation for a large family gathering it was good and Sea Palling was delightful.

Gorgeous house, lovely size & perfect location for the beach. Horrible drain smell from the en suite on the 1st floor. We tried what we were told but the smell didn't go away. Bins not emptied in kitchen and the grill pan was filthy. We had a lovely weekend though.
