Beautiful cottage, spacious and very well equipped, location fantastic very close to beach with shop and amenities 2 minutes walk away. Seating in lounge area not comfortable. Did not take our dogs but the cottage, garden and location would is ideal for dog owners. Would love to return to Beach Croft in the future.

Response on behalf of the Owner; Thank you for your comments. We are glad that you enjoyed your stay. We have ordered a new sofa for the living room which should arrive in the next 4-6 weeks.

Apart from the uncomfortable sofas in the sitting room, and the grubby couch in the living room (presumably having been used by dogs) we thoroughly enjoyed our winter week in Beach Croft. Elmer is an excellent centre for the many delights of West Sussex, even in December.

Our second stay at Beechcroft this time with the latest addition to the family (8 month old Noah). Ideal location for the whole family plus Meg the dog- she loves the walks on the beach. Everything was fine except for poor wi-fi connection at times.

Perfect quiet location with the beach at one end of the road and a local shop and pub at the other. Great for exploring Littlehampton, Bognor and Chichester. The house is equipped very well for eating in my only comment would be that the rugs had not been hoovered so there was a lot of dog hair on them, not great for my little girl who was crawling around. The conservatory also needed a better clean as lots of dog hairs on the floor. A parasol in the garden would be nice for guests.

Very 'grubby' and 'tatty' accommodation. It looked as though the property had not been cleaned for about 6 months. The description of a 'summerhouse' in the garden was very misleading, as it was only a shed for storing the BBQ. There was certainly nowhere to sit in there. There were no cushions for the garden furniture. Not that we would have used it, but the see saw was just thrown into a bush and was only discovered after some searching. Overall I was very disappointed with the property.

Response on behalf of the Owner; We are sorry that you were disappointed with the property. Addressing each of the points in turn: The property was upgraded and painted throughout last year. Inevitably it does suffer from the occasional chips and scuffs as the season progresses. It is difficult to respond to general comments about cleanliness but we have made our cleaners aware of your comments. There is a summerhouse in the garden, although I agree it is not suitable for sitting in. We do, however, have a small conservatory at the rear of the property which is popular for sitting in the sun. The garden furniture is not intended to be used with cushions. I am not sure why the see saw was in the bush although it isn’t clear why this was an issue - it is intended to be a bit of fun for small children and I don’t believe it is part of the property description. The score of 2/10 seems harsh but we are all entitled to our opinions!

Excellent property with ideal garden - good but relatively expensive. There were a few blemishes. Waste Bins were full on arrival - cleaners should have checked and removed rubbish. Cot had been left up in error taking valuable space in main bedroom. Was dismantled and removed 2 days into our holiday. Door handle into kitchen/dining room was not fixed - evidence that this was known about but not rectified.
