Excellent equipped and very comfortable, brilliant wifi speeds. Great views across the bay and fabulous sunsets. Only draw back, no off road parking, main road outside property and dogs not allowed to be toileted in garden so need to be taken across the road to the green and beach opposite

I should have done better research on Port William. It was much less interesting than I'd hoped for with few amenities.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the owner; I’m sorry that this guest was not pleased with the holiday location that she chose. Generally people who come to Port William are looking for a quiet and peaceful holiday, which this quiet little village provides. The seaside location, and an excellent restaurant are probably its biggest assets. If someone is looking for serious shopping and entertainment opportunities, they are apt to be disappointed.

Lovely old-fashioned cottage bigger than it looks from the outside. More than enough facilities, crockery and cooking implements. Stunning garden to rear and open sea views to front. Superb location on the edge of the village with dog-walking area to the front. No smoking in the cottage but with a table and chair at the back and large park with benches at the front this was not a problem. A lovely homely welcome tray of cakes and tea was waiting for us and the owner, next door, was very welcoming and friendly. Phone reception on O2 poor but the wi-fi was amazingly fast. Didn't eat in the pub as no dogs allowed but got takeaway meal from the restaurant next door. Small Spar shop for essentials. Would recommend and hopefully come again next year.

Well located, quiet and peaceful. A little 'old fashioned' but comfortable and cosy. Plentiful supply of towels, bedding and heating. The shower was a little haphazard but the water was hot. We had a lovely weeks holiday visiting local towns and villages and even took a trip to the Giant's Causeway in Ireland. All good value for money.

This is the third time we have stayed here so we obviously like the place. Cottage is old but has a lovely view across Luce Bay to the Mull of Galloway. Downside is that bathroom is downstairs.
