Spectacular views to Great Orme from this family home, beach close by, Beaumaris with castle and Plas Newydd nearby.

Set in the lovely seaside village of Benllech, this three bedroomed ‘upside down’ holiday house offers spectacular views over the beach and across to Puffin Island and on to the Great Orme at Llandudno. This beautiful, pet friendly beach is only 100 yards from the property and golfers and water sports enthusiasts are also well catered for. The local Storws Wen Golf Club is 1½ miles from the cottage and is open to visitors throughout the year. Anglesey is recognised and protected as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) and the coastal footpath runs around the island and alongside Benllech Beach. A short walk along brings you to the beautiful neighbouring Red Wharf Bay, where there is a choice of two excellent pub/restaurants. An independent study was carried out in August 2014 to find the most desirable postcodes in Britain, and the Wales category winner was Brynteg, which is less than 2 miles inland from Benllech. Further afield is historic Beaumaris with its 13th century castle and the National Trust’s Plas Newydd. Golf, angling and sea fishing available locally. Shop 200 yards, pub 100 yards, beachside cafe/restaurant 50 yards.

Excellent location with a lovely beach within 5 mins walk. Cottage is superb. Very clean, well equipped and has a beautiful sea view from the lounge. There is nothing bad I can say about my stay at beach cottage (except maybe the weather!) Would definitely recommend the cottage to anyone looking for a place to stay in Anglesey.

Absolutely loved our stay in Beach Cottage. Location was perfect. View from lounge window fantastic. Think we will be staying again. Loved the area particularly the walk along the beach to Red Wharf Bay, where there is a dog friendly pub and lovely restaurant . Recommend a visit to Beaumaris and boat trip to Puffin island.

Beautiful cottage with a perfect location, a few minutes walk from a lovely beach. The views from the lounge window were fantastic! The cottage was lovely and all the extras were greatly appreciated, including the dog towel and ball and the cake for the humans! Definitely will be booking again.

Me, my partner, one elderly Mother and 2 Scottie dogs stayed here during Easter week. From the moment we opened the front door we were like kids exploring, with gasps of delight around every corner. Literally everything you could think of we found at Beach Cottage. These included Beach bags, extra dog bowls, batteries and umberellas. We didn't need to unpack, eccept for clothes. The rooms were tastefully decorated throughout, with much thought to the bedding and towels. Clean and fresh. My partner and I stayed in the double bed bedroom, which was fairly tight for space with limited storage and shelving. However, the other 2 bedrooms (2 single beds/1 bed) had ample space. Lovely modern bathroom although an extra toilet would have been nice, esp with Beach Cottage being an upside down house and us having an elderly person. To us this wasn't an issue. Warm house (without heating on), fantastic views of the sea from living room window and an enclosed front terrace. 5 min stroll to the beach. You need to slow down and look for the entrance to Beach Cottage because you could easily pass it.

Have spent countless holidays at Beach Cottage, sometimes with friends, spmetimes with family. It is ideally situated for walking the Coastal Path, playing on the beach (whether you are young or old!), getting to other beaches on the area and the view from the lounge is amazing - even when the sun isn't shining. The cottage is always clean and has just about everything you could want. Will be back, yet again, next year.just

A little old fashioned, the double bed was really hard. The views were amazing and the cottage was well equipped. The heating charge was double the usual price that we pay and it was the smallest cottage we have been in with yourselves.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the Owner; Thank you for taking the time to feedback your comments on Beach Cottage. We are really glad that you enjoyed your holiday with us which is reflected by your 9 out of 10 score. However, I would just like to respond to your additional comments. "A little old fashioned" - not sure whether that is referring to the accommodation or the location of Benllech but as far as Beach Cottage is concerned, we do feel that the furniture and fittings are up to date. Indeed, in the last 2 years, we have renewed sofas, carpets, light fittings, beds, mattresses, bedding, curtains, dishwasher, fridge freezer, shower and many other items. However, I would leave it for others to judge based on the website photos. The double bed was new earlier this year and is a not inexpensive Langham Gold seal 12 inch which is rated as medium to firm and the floor area of the property is 85 sq. metres. Our aim is provide a warm, comfortable, homely, good value holiday let property suitable for families and couples alike in Benllech Bay which is a traditional un-commercialised seaside resort. We would really like to welcome you back at some stage in the future.

Very well equipped and very clean. Marvellous view of the sea from the upstairs living room. Easy walk down to the beach and shops and take aways are nearby but a bit of a climb up a hill. Only real downside was the smell of dog, particularly downstairs. Maybe it's time to replace the carpet with hard flooring. This might reduce the dog smell.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the Owner; Thank you for taking the time to report on your visit to Beach Cottage. We really do appreciate it because it allows us to continuously improve our holiday offer. So pleased you had such a nice time overall but sorry that you were disappointed with respect to the dog issue and felt it necessary to deduct 30% of your marks. You are the first person to comment in this respect. We always send a welcome text or email to our arriving guests to check everything is satisfactory for them and I just wish you had reported your concern to us at that stage so we could have rectified the matter. Nevertheless, we would really like to welcome you back to Beach Cottage at some stage in future.

The stairs should be mentioned how steep and the hand rail does not go all the up on both sides.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the owner; Thank you for taking the time to post your feedback comments on your recent stay at Beach Cottage. We are glad you found Beach Cottage satisfactory although we were surprised by your comments with respect to the staircase. Beach Cottage was built about 25 years ago as part of a row of 4 properties specifically for the purpose of holiday lettings. It is an "upside down" house with bedrooms and bathroom downstairs and lounge/diner and kitchen upstairs. This is in order for the lounge to benefit from the panoramic sea view across the bay towards Puffin Island and Llandudno. However, importantly, the staircase is a completely standard 13 step wooden stair case installed in a perfectly usual way which complies fully with building regulations. There only needs to be 1 bannister rail on a stair case. However, for added assistance we have installed a second handrail on the wall side of the staircase which runs the full length of the stairs. There is also a double locking safety gate at the top of the stairs. Finally, if any potential guests would like a photo of the staircase we would be delighted to oblige.
