Beautiful spacious cottage big enough to accommodate 3 adults and 2 children easily. Lovely little village. I would have liked a bit more space outside for kids to play but we made do with what we had. Would recommend anyone to give it a visit.

Had a wonderful stay, the cottage is close to Budleigh Salterton and not far from Exmouth beaches. Local pubs both friendly and serve good food. Lovely walks to be had all around the locality. Only drawback is that there is very little outside space at the actual cottage but that cannot be helped. Cottage is well equipped and comfortable.

Great holiday, the only reason we wouldn't stay again is because we like to try different places each time.

We had a lovely week at Bayeux. Set in a stunning village with good local amenities and close to a pebbly beach. We fell in love with East Devon and will definitely consider returning again. Beware of Friday change over - we were caught out and had to cut our holiday short.

This is a lovely cottage in a superb location. We had the most relaxing comfortable week. It is so quiet and peaceful. The Sunday roast at the Sir Walter Raleigh pub is one of the best that we have ever had when we have been on holiday. The owner of the cottage has made sure that everything you need is supplied. We will definitely be back.

Lovely lovely place. We had a really great time at xmas. The pubs is lovely and everything you need is a quick car ride away. Exmouth 15 mins away (lidl/tesco) & beach Budleigh salterton 10 Sidmouth 15/20 in other direction. House big enough for for family of 4& dog. For me only very minor drawback was no dishwasher but I survived!!!

Simple cottage. Good location if you are interested in everything sir Walter Raleigh. We took 2 medium sized dogs. The garden space was not suitable for our dogs. It would be suitable for lap dogs only. Property decorated in simple style. Ok for short break.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the Owner; Thank you for your comments. We advertise Bayeux Cottage as accepting one pet as we feel that the property is only suitable for one dog however, as a favour, we agreed to accept an additional pet thus allowing two dogs into the Cottage. The property is often praised for its beautiful location and we have many return guests which visit year on year.

No shops within walking distance and difficult to find initially by car due to poor quality road access but otherwise lovely accommodation and a great week overall, no qualms about housing five teenagers. Owners had left biscuits, DVDs and games, as well as plenty of leaflets and information about the local area which we found very useful, though be warned - not very close to many 'attractions'.

    Response from:

Response in behalf of the owner; Thank you for your comments. Within a 5 minute walk there is the community shop in the village. There are also several attractions within a 15 minute drive including Exmouth and Sidmouth towns.
