Take advantage of the beautiful view from the comfort of this lodge or enjoy a long walks on the various trails.

Situated on a traditional family farm with a small beef herd, this pair of single-storey barns have been sympathetically converted to form contemporary, detached holiday cottages. Barrow Farm Barn (ref 24826) retains original beams throughout and overlooks 2½ acres of orchard. Apple Lodge (ref 29429) features underfloor heating and large bi-fold doors to take full advantage of the view and open space. They are located just 5 miles from the historical town of Glastonbury, famous for its abbey, tor, music festival and mythical legends. The small city of Wells is 3 miles, with its cathedral, Bishop’s Palace and medieval cobbled street. The Bath and West Showground nearby features many events and exhibitions throughout the year. The Somerset Levels and the Mendip Hills are ideal for cyclists, walkers and nature lovers. There is a chicken coop outside all properties where you can help yourself to fresh eggs. There are also two travel cots shared between the properties. Shop 3 miles, pub and restaurant 1 mile. Properties 24826 and 29429 can be booked together to accommodate up to 10 guests.

All on ground floor: Living/dining room/kitchen with bi-fold doors. 2 bedrooms: 1 double (5ft) with en-suite shower room and toilet, 1 twin. Bathroom with shower over bath and toilet.

Travel cot and high chair on request. Two Freeview TVs. Smart TV. Playstation 3. Lawned garden with terrace, sitting-out area and furniture.

    This was a remote location but convenient for the area we wished to visit. The views were great & the surrounding area was very peaceful. The cottage beautifully equipped & the owners were friendly & welcoming. We were very glad that we had chosen this lodge to rent & would certainly do so again if we were to visit the area in the future. Brilliant & the donkeys in the next field were an added bonus.

    We had a fantastic time at Apple Lodge. Fresh eggs, wine and milk on arrival. Fresh eggs collected each morning and fed the donkeys. The area was very peaceful with a lovely view. Apple Lodge was very clean and well equipped. Would definatly stay again and would highly recommend.

    Beautiful views and quiet. Owners friendly. Very clean and very good standard of fittings but lacking in some cooking equipment if self catering - no bread bin, only one chopping board - need different ones for meat and bread, lack of glass bowls and small glass casserole dishes. Only stayed four nights but if longer might feel that there is a lack of storage space for clothes in the bedrooms.
