Barnacott is a lovely house with a splendid garden which was excellent for the children to play in safely. The furnishing were very comfortable and fortunately there were two baskets of logs for the log burner which we needed to use in the evenings as the weather was not very warm and the burner made the lounge very cosy. The owners live next door and were very friendly and informative about the local area. The nearby farm not only had a farm shop but coarse fishing was available at their large lakes for a very reasonable price.

This was a family holiday to celebrate a 60th birthday, ages 2-62. It had every thing. The house was a lot larger than we expected, the owner was very friendly, and the garden was beautiful and safe for the young children. Also with a gas BBQ which we enjoyed. Sandy mouth beach the nearest beach about 3 miles was lovely. My only comment would be a Stair gate for children under 3 would be useful. This did not worry us as we took our own. Fantastic House full of character.
