Great clean modern and comfortable. We really enjoyed our stay at Barn Owl Cottage. The kitchen / dining area is good for group get togethers and the open plan living room is comfortable. Wifi was strong (always a benefit), the beds were large and comfortable and the showers powerful. Very well equipped. Only comment was that there is a working farm behind the cottage and there is nose from reversing tractors at 6am in the morning. Not a nice experience if you are trying to have a lie in on a Sunday morning!

Beautiful cottage. Spotless and extremely comfortable. The hot tub is a bonus. The cottage itself is stunning. Beautiful kitchen and more than enough accessories. Had a brilliant weekend and we will be back-loved every minute. 1 tip take those socks with sticky bottoms as stairs have no carpet.

The cottage was beautiful - everything was to a very high standard, lovely comfy beds, very clean and lots of room, and of course the wonderful hot tub. We had a great time and will definitely try and return again.

Lovely house, modern, well equipped and easy to find but if you value your peace and quiet during a much needed holiday then I wouldn't recommend as we were woken up between 6am and 7am every morning by the radio blaring out and noise from the stables located just beyond the rear garden. The owner was friendly but didn't seem to feel it was a problem to pop into the front and rear gardens throughout the stay without notice/ warning. We didn't feel it was very private as a result.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the owner:- I am sorry to hear you felt your stay was disturbed. We do indeed have two horses in the stables to the rear which the wife attends to early in the mornings before the school run. As the cottage bedrooms are all located to the front of the house, then we admittedly did not believe this would cause disturbance. However, we will of course note your comments and endeavour to be quieter in the future. Regarding the intrusions as you say, I can only say they are absolutely necessary as we have to check the hot tub to the rear for a few minutes each day and the two occasions that I entered the front were on the Tuesday to put the bin out and on the Thursday I think it was I had to submit a meter reading from the external box to the electricity company. I must admit it crossed my mind whether you disturb a guest to tell them you need to take a meter reading or you just take a few moments and do the job. I obviously took the wrong decision in your instance and I apologise for that. Thank you for your comments and we will look to adopt different procedures in the future.
