In superb locations and beautiful settings. Cottages4you gives you a fantastic range of hand-picked properties with quality you can rely on.

Located in a peaceful setting, this single-storey property is 4 miles from Stirling and within easy driving distance of Edinburgh, Perth and Glasgow.

Stunning scenery

Only 4 miles from the historic city of Stirling, yet hidden away in a truly magnificent and peaceful rural scenery means a perfect location for year-round holidays. Osprey Hideaways overlooks the owners’ own 120-acre loch where ospreys can be seen feeding most days in season. 300ft high cliffs frame the far side of the water, making the views genuinely stunning. All the cottages are furnished to a very high boutique standard and provide excellent accommodation for couples or family groups. A welcome pack is provided including a bottle of bubbly so that you can relax as soon as you arrive. There is also lovely linen, towels, bathrobes - and even slippers! To top this off is the honesty room where you can borrow books, a huge selection of DVDs, games, toys and visitor information. The owners live on site and are there to help as much (or as little!) as you want.

Each cottage has been named after birds that are regularly seen flying overhead, and are perfectly located to enjoy the best of both worlds at any time of the year - the peace of the countryside and the amenities and activities of the city. As well as being only 4 miles from Stirling city centre, it’s only 5 miles to the motorway junction for surprisingly quick journey times to Edinburgh, Perth and Glasgow and all their facilities. Loch Lomond & Trossachs National Park is 20 miles away and the mountains to the north or the beautiful sea lochs to the west are all within a 2 hour drive. There are numerous golf courses locally and even the Gleneagles course is only 35 minutes’ away. For walks the choice is endless and one of the best cliff-top walks in central Scotland starts right at the cottages! Stirling is a vibrant but compact university city offering wonderful attractions, including an incredible castle, the amazing Wallace Monument, the historic Church of the Holy Rude and even ghost tours. There are restaurants to suit all tastes, swimming pools, sport centres, multiplex cinema, theatre, museum, pubs and shops. The best bit is that Stirling is very much a year round destination. The perfect place for the perfect holiday! Shops, pubs and restaurants 4 miles.

Totally beautiful place to stay. Winter weather made the journey to cottage lets say rather adventurous. George did an amazing job of making sure we could get in and out the one track road safely. He went above and beyond and we were very grateful. Exceptionally friendly . Great complimentary starter pack. Brilliant honesty room with huge selection of Dvd's and information all set with breathtaking views. We will be back!

The cottage was very comfortable and well equipped especially in the kitchen. The location is more suited for walkers, which unfortunately we are not able to do. I am not disabled, but struggle to climb quite steep steps up to the front door, perhaps a handrail would be appreciated for older people. Otherwise everything was very enjoyable.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the Owner; I’m so sorry to hear that you had trouble climbing the steps to the cottage. There are three steps to the main entrance, with a total rise of 16 inches. The treads on each step are larger than those on a standard staircase. I wish you would have come and seen me as I could have solved the issue for you in seconds. We have a top quality ramp that we can supply to aid people who have difficulty climbing steps or for those with mobility issues. As we live on site we are here to help solve any issues that may arise during your holiday.

A beautiful property in wonderful surroundings. The whole development has been done sympathetically to the location and to the highest detail. The welcome pack is certainly very welcoming and sets the tone for the stay. The only downside is that on this side of the courtyard you cannot see the Loch but I did see the ospreys circling above it. George is a fabulous host who is a mine of information about the local area. I hope to go back in the future.

Wonderful holiday in the most beautiful setting . Very well equipt cottage nothing was forgotten so peaceful only the sound of the birds and lambs if in the closest fields . The welcome pack was amazing more than we have ever had anywhere else . Lovely touch . Would recommend it to my friends . Thank you for a lovely well needed break . I would just like to say one thing and it is in no way a chritisism . Our only regret is that we can't bring our son. Gavin is in a wheelchair and we would have loved to bring him . Was surprised that not one cottage was suitable . But it was lovely for us to have time alone too .
