ABSOLUTELY STUNNING. The photographs do not do justice to Penderrow, from the location, to the house, to the swimming pool, the games room, everything has been thought of. Sarah's welcoming gifts, home made bread, brownies, Cornish butter, and local milk were just what was needed after a long journey. The beds were the most comfortable beds that we have had in any of the cottages that we have rented. The lounge was very comfortable, but most evenings were spent around the very large dining table,by our large family. The kitchen is very well equipped with everything that was required.

We spent a week at Penderow mid September as an extended family group including a nearly 3 year old , 5 month old twins and 3 little dogs. The house was really large ,clean and comfortable and provided very flexible sleeping arrangements as there were plenty of twin beds as well as doubles that could be made twin if necessary. The "dormitory " upstairs was very big with 4 single beds and large tv and DVD . My daughter slept there with her baby twins and little daughter but it would have been really great for older children to have their own space. All the beds were very comfortable and the lovely white bedlinen and white fluffy towels were of excellent quality and very much appreciated. There was also a toddler bed and two travel cots available. Incredibly well equipped kitchen and large utility room which was great for the dogs. It was very useful to have the extra fridges and separate freezer in there too. Loved the size of the kitchen and we had all our meals there as a family around the large table. The sitting room had 4 large comfy sofas and large tv and the dining table on the mezzanine area was used for a1000 piece jigsaw to tax us all through the week! ( there were lots of these and other games provided in the house and in the separate games room opposite the owners house near the wonderful swimming pool. Sarah and Barrie were incredibly welcoming and sorted out any of our queries really promptly . Sarah took us all to see her rare breed chickens on the second day and also some chicks. There were some sheep and lots of horses around too as Penderrow is also a stud . New laid eggs were available to buy and we got through loads and took some home - delicious. The fantastic pool attached to the owners house ( which we had to ourselves that week although if the other cottage had been occupied would have been shared) was heated and just the right size for a relaxing swim and to give a little one confidence in the water. We had lots of fun there. It was modern and housed in a beautiful oak framed building with a good sized shower and loo where you could change. The weather was mixed when we were there but we visited Crackington Haven , Boscastle Tintagel and Bude and had a couple of lovely days at Widemouth Bay beach which was great for little ones and dogs. We had a really good week.

The owners of the property were very helpful and were keen to ensure all our needs were meet. The property was well equipped and the kitchen was fantastic. The swimming pool and games room were excellent and well used by my family. The garden was large and great for letting the kids burn off some energy.

Penderrow was lovely! We were 10 adults with 2 toddlers and 2 dogs and there was ample space for everyone. Really perfect for our needs. Some might find it a little out of the way but we loved going out on daytrips and then coming back to peace and quiet and lovely scenery. Location is great for lots of trips. The owners were really friendly, and the bread and brownies waiting for us on arrival were amazing!

We were a group of 11. Welcomed with delicious brownies. Spacious & comfortable cottage. All rooms of good size. No ensuite though.Kitchen well equipped. Dinner table to seat 12 made the stay quite homely!! Good speed wifi, but limited to living room & kitchen. Swimming pool & games room disappointingly small.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the Owner; Thank you for bringing this to our attention. Since your stay, an engineer has checked the internet service and boosters have now been fitted which has resulted in a good service being available in all rooms in the house. Our fabulous indoor heated swimming pool is architect designed situated in a superb oak framed modern building. The size of our pool is 24 ft. x 13 ft. as advertised. Not Olympic size by any means! But families do love to use it and many children have learnt to swim here as they feel safe in a smaller pool. For future guests, we remind you that although our spacious bedrooms are not ensuite we do have 1 bathroom, with a bath, toilet and separate shower plus 2 shower rooms both with toilets and a separate toilet in the property.
