We can honestly say this is the best cottage we have stayed in. From first walking in the door and until leaving it felt so cosy and warm. The cottage was lovely and clean and we couldn't fault anything. It is in a fabulous location and we found plenty to do. Thank you for the warm welcome and the delicious home made bread and cake. We will be back......

The cottage is in a quiet position with wonderful views over the sea. It is well equipped and clean . The owner is a very welcoming and pleasant person. The cottage is dog friendly too. There are many places to visit in the area with coastal and forest walks a short drive away. We have already booked for next year.

What a fantastic cottage. The views, the cows that we fed bread every evening, the sheep in the field in front, cleanliness and off course the owner Amy! We were welcomed with fresh home made break and cakes which was a nice touch. The children want to come here for Xmas. We are so glad we choose the Forge. We also hired a fishing boat on Loch Ken (Galloway Activity Centre) which we had a pleasant time.

In spite of some indifferent, and at some times wet and windy, weather, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Bardristane Forge. We were welcomed by Amy's mum and instantly made to feel welcome. Our Westie, Cara, carried out a swift inspection and gave it the seal of approval ! We made two trips each day to Mossyard beach for a good walk and run around, and the weather did not stop us from walking many of the forest trails. We particularly liked Wigtown and Kirkcudbright, and we are so impressed by the many dog friendly cafes in Dumfries and Galloway. The highlights of the visit to the Cream o' Galloway centre were the dog walk and the ice cream! A warm cosy cottage to come back to with the wood burners made our stay just perfect. We hope to return when the skies are not dark because of cloud!! Thank you Amy and Amy's mum for your hospitality and the goodies ! Morag, Jack and Cara.

Really lovely cottage, clean, well kept, and beautiful views to the sea. Owners friendly and helpful with any queries. Not far from the scenic Mossyard Beach and various activities in Galloway Forest Park. A car is needed as the nearest towns for supplies are a few miles away. Phone signal can be erratic. We intend to come back some time in the future.
