Locally, the small market town of Middleton-in-Teesdale has everyday shopping, traditional inns serving food and tea rooms selling local specialities, as well as a pub serving hot food all week. The countryside offers good walking, fishing and cycling. Shop 2 miles, pubs and restaurant 50 yards.
