These detached holiday properties are 3 of just 8 in this development, each set in a third of an acre of mature landscaped gardens, with facilities on site including a football pitch, hard tennis court and children’s play area with swings and slide. In the village there is an excellent hotel, bar and restaurant, and a choice of golf courses in the area. All along the coast from Wicklow to Wexford are miles of sandy beaches, and this area enjoys the highest sunshine rate in Ireland. The beach in Kilmuckridge is known as the Golden Mile because of the soft golden sands and dunes and is situated just off the coast road between the seaside villages of Blackwater (4 miles) and Kilmuckridge (3 miles). These holiday homes are well-equipped and tastefully furnished and each has a patio and large lawn ideal for relaxing on or dining al fresco. The town of Wexford (16 miles), is famous for its annual opera festival and offers a variety of shops and restaurants. There are many historic places of interest to visit, including Dunbrody Abbey, a 12th century Cistercian monastery, and the Irish National Heritage Park. The John F Kennedy Arboretum in New Ross contains a vast collection of trees and shrubs. It covers 252 hectares, with panoramic views, picnic areas, maze, play area, lake, tea room/shop (seasonal), miniature railway (seasonal) and visitor centre. Golf, fishing, water sports and horse riding locally, and for walkers, the Wexford Coastal Path is great for exploring this scenic area. Both Gorey and Wexford have a regular train service to Dublin, Ireland’s capital, and makes a really memorable day trip. The driving times to Dublin (80 mins), Rosslare (40 mins), Wexford (30 mins) makes these properties an ideal touring base for the surrounding counties. Shop, pub and restaurant 2 miles. Excellent holiday. Great base for exploring nearby beaches. We were lucky with the weather! Really good for kids as plenty of space to run around and small playground along with football pitch and tennis courts. Also liked the fact it had electric gated entry.. so kids couldn't escape. Nice small complex of holiday cottages, with immaculately kept gardens. Furnishing inside cottage of high standard and beds really comfortable. Just a couple of niggles: nowhere to put towels in bathroom, or toiletries in ensuite. Could have done with a towel rail or hook and a shelf in shower. As for kitchen, we struggled with no tin opener, sharp knife (only knife was a bread knife)wooden spoon and a Pyrex jug or bowl that could go in microwave. Like I said, just minor things but would make a difference. Owner very friendly and met us on arrival. Would recommend for a quiet relaxing break.you do need a car to get around though.

We were all very happy with the property provided at this complex. It was a spacious and light filled building, very cosy, warm and tastefully decorated. In addition, the location offered a wide range of possibilities for visitors, including lovely beaches plus walks.
