We had a lovely time here as a family of four with two young children. There is everything you could need and all very comfortable. There are pubs and shops within an easy walk and lots to do in the local area. We visited the Heights of Abraham, Chatsworth House, the Peak Wildlife Park and did a heritage train ride over the four days we stayed. The cottage itself was spotless and comfortable. There was a log fire and all of the Sky channels you could want. A Bakewell tart, milk, cava etc were waiting for us when we arrived and things like toilet roll, tea, coffee, sugar etc were there as well. Having the accommodation on one level (bar two steps) was handy with with the kids. There is parking at the cottage too and we managed just fine with a big Mondeo. Would certainly stay again and highly recommend this cottage.

The barn is set in a fabulous location that's very quiet considering it's in the centre of the town. Lots of pubs and places to eat within 5 minutes of walking out of the front door. Perfect base for a walking holiday and plenty of walks available straight out of the town so you needn't get your car out. The owners live next door and are extremely helpful but not at all intrusive.

A beautiful cottage in a great location for pottering around Bakewell. We had our 2 month old with us so it was great to be so close to the centre for walking with the push chair. The cottage is really cosey, well equipped and beautifully decorated. That it had a parking space was also a bonus as a lot of the cottages I had looked at in Bakewell didn't. Bakewell itself is lovely, and lots to do around the area such as Chatsworth, Buxton or walking in the Beautiful countryside. We would definitely visit again.

Excellent spot for visiting a number of areas. Had a really enjoyable holiday, weather was kind to us as well. The only down side was the very uncomfortable mattresses and sofa's
