We feel it a shame that we would not return to The Bailey as we were very pleased with the holiday home, its location and the friendly welcome we received. Although the cottage was adjacent to the owners home it still felt very private. However, the lack of Wifi service was a definite issue for us especially in an area with poor mobile phone signal. Although there was an option to use the owners wifi next door, the only means of doing this was by waving my tablet around outside their window, something which was not much fun on a cold November evening. I appreciate this may not be important to every guest and to those people I would recommend this cottage wholeheartedly.

Excellent property with friendly, accommodating owners. We were two families and the space worked well for us. The separate games room and lounge upstairs worked very well for the kids. Beds very comfortable and one couple even get to be well away from everyone else as the 2nd double is downstairs and beyond the games room. There was also plenty of room for us all to sit down and eat together.

The Bailey is a beautiful cottage in a wonderful setting. There were welsh cakes waiting for us on the table and we had a lovely greeting from the dogs :) it is a very spacious property, the games room was fab and the garden and hot tub was amazing too. It was fully equipped with everything we needed however would have benefited from wifi as we had no phone signal in this location. Table and chairs were quite old and not very sturdy. Would definitely return to this cottage. Brilliant value for money.

We visited in February and had fantastic weather. The large property is well presented and ideal for our family/friend group. The kitchen/dining room has a large table so we could all sit together. The upstairs sitting room also had sufficient comfy seats for all of us to enjoy the cosy log burner! Great central location for the Black mountains, Elan Valley and nearby Hay on Wye.

A great holiday cottage when you are three families with young kids. Well looked after by the owners and the hot tub is a huge bonus. We will certainly be returning.

A lovely roomy cottage full of old world charm but with the benefits of modern comforts. The hot tub was a brilliant addition and despite the foul weather was used by us all. Located in the lovely village of Threecocks it was peaceful and quiet but only a short car journey to Hay on Wye with so much to see and do ( during our weekend we had switching on of Christmas lights, food festival and antique fair ). If the weather had been kinder there is beautiful river countryside to be explored. The owner next door was a lovely lady and nothing was to much trouble. As a group of ladies aging from 30 to 60 celebrating a 50th birthday we had the most wonderful weekend an hope to return next summer with our families.
