From start to finish a really special experience.
Sharron and Dave were really helpful, friendly and welcoming as were the dogs, Joe and Ben ( they were great with our puppy too )
The cottage was absolutely beautiful inside and out, lovely and warm and lovely and clean.
We'd ordered a big grocery delivery from Sainsbury to the cottage itself and the gorgeous kitchen had loads of storage space including a really big fridge and a separate freezer. We self catered the whole weekend and found all the pots, pans, cutlery, utensils etc. really well provided, we didn't once think "oh I wish we'd brought ... " and everything worked really well.
The 2 lovely big wooden tables allowed us to use one to comfortably sit the 8 of us and have the other as a games table for jigsaws, scrabble etc. We'd brought these games with us, but had we not there was a cupboard full of jigsaws and games in the downstairs lounge. The kitchen, dining room and lounge were open plan so, even when people were preparing food in the kitchen they could still be sociable with those in the lounge/dining room.
The games room with it's pool table and darts board was a really big hit with all our party, which ranged from 12 - 80 years old, I don't think any of us had envisaged it being such fun, and the hot tub was blissful.
( Tip - take some flip flops to walk on the gravel between the door and the hot tub )
It was marvellous to have recycling boxes for everything so close by, but out of sight.
All the bedrooms were perfect and in the evenings the stunning, huge, upstairs lounge, with it's stylish selection of extremely comfy easy chairs and sofas came into it's own as we had drinks before and after dinner whilst feeling so cosy with the wood burning stove helping to create a wonderful atmosphere.
Everyone of us had the happiest of stays at Bailey Cottage and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it or, given the chance, go back ourselves.
