Centrally located there are many nearby places to visit including the market towns of Eye and Diss, the village of Stradbroke which has an indoor swimming pool, Framlingham and Orford with their 12th century castles, the Norfolk Broads and the Suffolk Heritage Coastline. Lovely cottage in a good location. Grounds of the property provided great outdoor space for the kids to explore. Lots of attractions within 30-50 minute drive. Owner very helpful and welcoming.

A lovely cottage with beautiful grounds and surrounding countryside to get away from it all. About a mile walk across the fields to the nearest village with a "child friendly"pub which would not let us bring our young children in. Nice swimming pool in Stradbrooke too.

Excellent holiday. Kitchen could have done with more accessories eg roasting tin and pyrex bowls with lids, having young children we tend to cooķ inthe cottage otherwise very good.

Having stayed at many summer cottages over the years we must say that the Avocet was probably the most luxurious & well appointed cottage to date! The location is ideal for touring around Suffolk & the coast. The owners were very friendly & helpful & we would have no hesitation in recommending this to other holidaymakers.

Avocet is a really comfortable property and is in a peaceful rural setting. There was not one fault that I could find and if you are after a restful place to stay then this is it!! Lovely garden furniture and so lovely to watch the birds in the enormous garden! The owner was very welcoming and helpful especially about one minor item that needed attending to on our arrival. A welcome basket of tea, coffee and home made bread etc was lovely to see on our arrival. You do need a car to get to anywhere but that said driving is easy and everything is not too far away. Lavenham and Walberswick were particularly lovely places. I would stay at Avocet again as its everything you would need for a peaceful, restful break from the hustle and bustle of life.
