Helpful base for three of us who meet up occasionally. Rooms all fine and comfortable. Only slight quibble would be that the ground floor of the house is much colder than the rest due to absence of windows/sunlight.

We had a lovely week at West Granary with our grandchildren. The cottage is lovely and we had some nice walks around the surrounding area. The play area is good and very safe and the children loved it. We visited lots of places including Ludlow, Stokesay Castle, Croft Castle , Berrington Hall and Rays Farm, all very close to the cottage and great places for both adults and children to visit. We will go back again.

Nice cottage - a few lights not working and a couple of sockets seemed a bit loose - the socket behind the sofa appears not to be working. Area is quiet and a car is essential but probably excellent for walking in better weather.

We enjoyed our break very much and the location of the cottage is fantastic, it was clean and comfortable. Although there is obviously a problem with dead flies in the top bedroom by the window. It would have been nice if there had been a pint of milk in the fridge so we could have had cereal/tea/coffee on our first morning without going shopping first. This is one of the only places I have stayed that doesn’t provide a pint of milk – and some owners provide much more (not that this is expected). There wasn’t much equipment in the kitchen that could be used if you wanted to cook a meal from scratch and what there was wasn’t in great condition. The frying pans were both very badly scratched which made them rather off putting to use. The three baking trays were carefully covered in foil, because there condition was so poor that you couldn’t have put food directly on to them – although there was then no new foil to replace what had been used. Finally given that we were staying in the autumn it would be really useful to have some lights on the fence by the allocated parking bay, it would have made it much easier to see what we were doing.

A lovely cottage with spacious bedrooms and a cosy atmosphere. The play areas outside were great for the children and there is so much to do in the surrounding area. An excellent base for an enjoyable weekend.
