Our fourth visit, like all the others, has been very enjoyable. Owners/hosts are just right - friendly and helpful but never intrusive though living next door. View is wonderful, one of the very best surely. Heating easy and plentiful, everything in working order and no worries. Kitchen has all we needed, small but well laid out with fridge, microwave, freezer, hob and oven It is a lovely part of England and we can't wait to go again!

Very comfortable and relaxing week. The kitchen is small but very well equipped, plenty of games and books and a log fire for cosy evenings. Ideal location for day trips to all the local attractions.

Friendly, non intrusive hosts. Beautiful views. Very well equipped. Generous welcome basket. Small especially the kitchen but cosy. Some walks from the door, good local pub. Easy access to main Peak district areas.

An excellent position, wonderful views and really homely. A perfect welcome, with kindling, logs and coal ready for a fire, fruit in a bowl, and tea, coffee, milk and sugar waiting. Lots of hot water and very efficient radiators. We were visiting our son and grandchildren who live at Chapel en le Frith, and were able to entertain them to tea at the cottage.

We had fantastic time staying in Ashton Cottage, and a beautiful cottage it was. The owners were very welcoming and couldn't do enough to help us. We very fortunate with the weather given the time of year (mid November). First time staying in the Peak District - it did not disappoint. Even managed to sneak a walk round Chinley Churn which provided a whole new perspective of the area - a must while staying at Ashton Cottage. All your local amenities within walking/ driving distance and a nicely located pub (Lamb Inn) down the road which provides fantastic food and service - comes highly recommended. All in all a fantastic weekend break and would definitely come back.
