Brilliant holiday. Beautiful cottage. Found the electric very expensive 70 pound for a week is a bit much. Over all would go back as such a lovely area.

One reason I booked this was a previous posting about the wonderful welcome package. No such thing for us and the owner knew we were travelling 5,000 miles with two little ones in hand. Not even a bar of soap! Ridiculous! On arrivel, owner was trying to pull weeds.....the gravel area and garden very poorly attended. Embarrassing actually. Parking for two cars only if they are tiny Fiats or the like. Certainly not for 2 family vehicles. Description is mis leading. Electricity is by meter but stupid system where each top up has to be done at post office! You will have to add around another £50 for a week. Knobs on stove were disgustingly filthy. Other items and areas needed a good clean. MUCH better cottages in village. This was extremely disappointing and we were happy to leave and go to our next facilities in Banff.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the owner: Thank you for your comments. I don’t understand what you mean about the welcome pack as we do not advertise one and neither is it mentioned in previous reviews. Regarding the pulling of weeds, there aren’t any it is a gravel area I was tidying the flowers up. I do provide a squeezy bottle of soap – the cleaner may have finished this off so can only apologise, However this is advertised as a self-catering property. I will look into the parking and amend the details if necessary. Unfortunately the electricity charge is not controlled by me and is advertised as being by meter reading. Top up as with most meters, are required to be done locally in places such as shops etc., this one is at the local post office.
