We enjoyed our holiday at Coombe Martin and the village was very welcoming, however it was very difficult to cross the road and the garden was over grown so we were not able to sit outside.

Loved our stay at ashley cottage we love combe martin any way the cottage was nice and clean very well equipped the beds were great parking isn't the easiest if all the neighbours are in but we have a big car the only thing we could find that needed doing was the hedges out side they did block a bit of light out apart from that great

Whilst the cottage had everything we needed the furniture was terrible - sofa and chairs smelt foisty and if dogs - dog hairs all over carpet - mish mash of second hand furniture - bedroom door unable to close due to hinge falling off - light blocked to room due to large bushes in unkept garden - very disappointing for what we were charged - this cottage could be beautiful but it's not

Response on behalf of the Owner; Thank you for your comments, we value customer feedback. We encourage guests to contact us immediately if they have any problems, so that they can be swiftly resolved and do not compromise the enjoyment of their stay. We are a pet friendly property so dogs are allowed in the cottage, however we do stipulate to all guests that the terms and conditions must be obliged too and these do state that dogs must be kept of furniture. In the unfortunate event that dogs are not kept off the furniture, we have a cleaner present at every changeover to ensure this does not affect our upcoming guests. Our cleaner is within walking distance of the cottage and approachable at any given time if a cleaning issue arises. The furniture in the property is visible on the photographs we provide, we appreciate everyone’s furniture taste differs and on this basis understand your comment. Please be reassured the furniture is always renewed, when necessary. The exterior of the cottage is also visible in the photographs and we do maintain the garden.

We had a fantastic stay at Ashley Cottage. It had everything we needed and was very clean and tidy. It was a traditional cottage so the door frames were low (ouch!!) and the parking a bit tricky round the back, but we are so glad we booked this cottage. The walk to the beach was an easy 3 minutes and there were plenty of local shops. The downstairs bathroom was actually a bonus, especially after being down at the beach as you could literally jump in the shower as soon as you stepped in. We found the back entrance much more convenient as the front door and steps were too close to the road. We would not hesitate in booking again if we were going to holiday in North Devon again.
