A lovely little cottage situated in the main street of Ravenglass. Easy access to the beach and many enjoyable walks. Excellent pubs serving great food and drink within a short walking distance. Only two downsides, the bathroom / shower facility is not designed to be used by anyone taller than 5 foot 4. We had to make arrangements with friends to use their shower. The second is parking, with room for one car only.

It was fine apart from cleanliness and no wifi. The main issue was with not being able to get hold of the owner before or during our stay as the main front door lock was broken. Luckily I knew where to locate the key having stayed there last year. We managed to get in, but this needs to be sorted ou

This cottage was damp and dirty, thick with dust. There were only two dinner plates and inadequate facilities. It is such a shame as the location is lovely. It was worse than poor student accommodation.

Beautiful location. House is very well decorated and comfortable, lovely views from the back bedrooms. The local village is very pleasant and friendly, has a number of nice places to eat and have a drink. The whole area and the cottage are very dog friendly with some lovely walks from your door step. Only down side was turning up to the property and finding an overflowing bin and a bad smell coming from the shed.

A really beautiful location with a couple of lovely pubs in a short walking distance. L'al Ratty steam train just a short walk as is Muncaster castle. Both well worth a visit.

This was a sweet cottage, and we would stay there again. However getting the keys become an issue. And cleanliness was also an issue. Both these problems were sorted but it did spoil the start of the holiday. One thing don't forget towels.

Had a great stay at Ashlea, great location, great local pubs and just up the road from the train station if you don't feel like driving :) Shower is in an awkward position and not really suitable for anyone over 5ft tall but we managed, and the cottage got cold and drafty when the wind blew but we soon had it warm with the heating. Only problem we had was the fire, never having litten a coal fire before and having no firelighters we had a couple of attempts but failed miserably :( would have liked a log fire instead as it's easier for numptys like us but that's here not there. Had a great stay and would definitely stay again.
