Second time we have stayed in this property which tells its own story. High quality accommodation and a stones throw from the pub, which serves good food and ale.

This is one of the best holiday cottages that we have ever rented. It was spotlessly clean when we arrived - you could smell the polish! Superbly equipped with everything that we needed, comfortable beds, en suites and open farmland views. Great local walking and easy access to Bakewell and Ashford in the Water. Sheila next door who acts as caretaker was friendly, charming and helpful. Book this one, you won't be disappointed!

I and my family loved our stay at Ash Tree View Barn. It is in a quiet and peaceful village, with lots of wonderful walks to places of interest - Bakewell, Haddon Hall etc. The cottage is spacious, so ideal for our family reunion. There is a typical country pub two minutes walk away, which does food, although I didn't eat there. There is a view over fields, and sheep in the field next to the cottage, which children would no doubt love. The beds are comfortable, and it was nice to have so many bathrooms, but beware of the shower in the main bathroom (in the bath) as it was incredibly slippery and one of our party had a mishap. He escaped with a couple of bruises fortunately, but I feel that it could be very dangerous for someone older or less agile. Needless to say, we didn't use that bathroom again! Other than that, we enjoyed our stay, and I would recommend the cottage.

Beautiful location and lovely cottage. Wet room was an added bonus. Not keen on wall mounted TV but just a minor thing.

Great place and location. Well equipped, if you want to cook and a great local pub that does food in a few minutes walking distance, if you don't!

Lovely place , cosy and clean. TV reception a bit fuzzy - but we didn't need it. No black out blinds in the room so we woke up early - but it got us up and out enjoying the Peaks. And a well equipped kitchen.

We had a super holiday staying in this barn. The hamlet its in is lovely with just one pub. You can walk out straight from the house into the countryside. Just a minor point. The barn really needs a full size dishwasher for 6 or 8 people.

A beautiful barn conversion in a lovely village. Nice local pub and lovely walks straight from the cottage. Easy access to other Peak District attractions. In winter beware car access via Kirkdale can be fearsomely icy, but Johnson lane route is far easier and only slightly further. Only one small beef...bath towels could be bigger. (For the older fuller figure!)
