Historical interest: 10 It was great to experience living in such an old, interesting property. Spaciousness: 10+ Equipment: 10 Comfort: 1 Main double bed exceptionally hard, not level (OK the floors are not level, but the bed could have been levelled)and quilt not big enough for 2 average-sized adults, therefore we had to sleep separately: just as well there was a second bed otherwise we would hardly have slept all week! Cleanliness: Initially it appeared clean, but R suffered from a dust-mite allergy every morning...? These disappeared once he was out of the cottage and in the fresh air. Hopefully during the refurbishments these problems will be rectified. However, turning it into a 2 double bedroom cottage will make it too big for us to visit again and possibly out of our price range. Such a pity it is not being restored to 2 separate cottages as it was originally.

A beautiful cottage, charming and quirky. The surrounding area is lovely and the locals very friendly. The cottage is well equipped. The stairs are very steep and not suitable for people with mobility problems. I would return for a longer holiday as I feel a week is too short to appreciate such a beautiful place.

This is a beautiful cottage in an idylic setting; very well maintained and comfortable. The owners, next door, were very welcoming. It should be noted, as other have done, that the stairs are NOT suitable for the very young or people with limited ability. We have marked down the equipment only because there is no wi-fi and the fire in the lounge was dissapointing in its effectiveness (we stayed in Feb!). We note that some guests have said that a week-end is enough time to spend in this cottage - we disagree, we could have stayed longer. We would recommend this cottage to others.
