From a touch of luxury to characterful heritage, experience one of our truly inspiring holiday properties.

Surrounded by high mountains and calm waters. The games room and large garden with barbecue is perfect for those summer evenings.

In a stunning setting with direct access to Loch Awe this spacious detached property is set in its own 21/2 acres of beautifully landscaped gardens. Acclaimed as one of Scotland’s most picturesque lochs, Loch Awe is surrounded by high mountains, and its calm waters are dotted with wooded islands, many with castles which recall the turbulent history of Argyll and its clans. The grounds are perfect for a peaceful and relaxed holiday and the external games room is ideal for guests with young families. There is good fishing and excellent walking can be enjoyed locally with many fine forest walks also suitable for cycling. May and June are a riot of colour with a variety of spectacular rhododendruns and there is much to interest the naturalist and bird-watcher. Argyllshire’s annual gathering takes place in August, featuring piping competitions and Highland games. The Oban Sea Life centre, Cruachan Hollow Mountain and Bonawe Iron Works can all be found nearby. This is a superb base for touring the Western Highlands, Oban is only 40 minutes by car, with a good choice of shops, restaurants and bars – as well as a cinema, sports centre, golf, tennis, sailing and ferries to the islands. Shop 7 miles, pub and restaurant 3 miles.

We thoroughly enjoyed our weeks stay, we could not believe the size of the cottage, with so many rooms to choose from and with 10 in our party we certainly did not fall over one and other. The Games Room was perfect for my 10 year old Grandson and my granddaughters aged 6 and 4 loved the space to dance around in. Leo my daughter's dog loved the freedom of running around in the huge, beautiful garden and the walk down to the Loch. Everyone wanted to stay in the cottage forever, but sadly we had to come home.

We have stayed twice now a three year gap in between our 2 stays recent one end of april this year still brilliant location and scenery etc. Only thing this time kitchen equipment utensils pans were needing replaced some cutting knives needed and the decor a bit dated and some of the window latches broken kettle broke again same as last time we had to buy one games room handle broken pool table in need if repair could do with a dart board too but overall still a lovely place to be.
