Beautiful location if you want to get away from from it all. A bit remote but lots to do if you are willing to drive everyday. Owners have thought of everything and are more than welcoming and keen to make your holiday complete.

Large and comfortable house with every facility you could need. Beautiful , well-kept gardens. Very welcoming owner. Very quiet setting, quite a way from a main road. Could be too isolated for some.

We have stayed in many cottages in Scotland over the years, but this one was second to none! On arrival we were greeted by the very friendly owner who showed us around the place, explained the workings & offered his assistance if it were needed for the week ahead - he was only a phone call away & nothing was to insignificant to call him for. He showed us a gateaux & bottle of wine he & his wife had kindly gifted us. He wished us good weather for our stay and left us to it. The seclusion was ideal for us seekers of peace and quiet & the house had everything you could require for a stay (Sky tv package, wifi, loch awe, telephone, barbecue and a quite magnificent garden!) The house was very clean and the garden was beautifully tended by the owner - for his age he appears to have boundless energy! We were fortunate enough to see deer in the driveway each morning and one even passed through the garden! There was also a friendly shrew (I think) which would make a regular appearance on top of the log stump outside the patio doors. It was a great stay all round, and within a short drive you could visit major tourist towns such as Oban. There was lots of things to do depending on what type of break your after, again, the owner has lots of advice to offer if required. Peace and Seclusion? or Hustle and Bustle? you couldnt do much better than Ardabhaigh as a base!

A very relaxing week, weather was excellent. Owners very helpful and made us feel at home. The garden is spectacular and the wildlife beautiful to see, red squirrels were particularly nice to watch.
