lovely but not the best without a car as buses few and far between and mile walk to bus stop.......with car would be perfect!

A very welcoming, cosy and very well-appointed cottage. The only downside was that it was quite a way away from Southwold. . the town it was advertised as...and not within easy walking distance of any shops or restaurants, so a car was essential every day. I will just make sure that when I book cottages in future I ask the precise location.

My son and I had a lovely week in April cottage. It was very comfortable and well equipped. The owners appear to have thought of everything.

A nice cottage located well to explore the Suffolk coast area. The cottage its self is all that is needed and is comfortable furnished, it is equipped to enable a full meal to be cooked or just for breakfast. The only negative is the noise from the road outside, particularly in the evening when it seems at times to be a cut through.

We did not stay for the full week because we considered the stairs to dangerous. The fact that the bathroom was downstairs meant that we had to tackle to stairs in the night. The cottage was on a country lane that was used as a rat run between the A12 and Beecles and was therefore very busy. Not very good for a peaceful holiday.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the Owner; We are sorry to hear that your stay at April Cottage was not to your liking. It is stated on the website that the stairs are steep and also that the bathroom is on the ground floor. The lane outside the cottage is usually very quiet and we expect that due to the preparation for the Latitude Festival there may have been an unusual level of traffic during the time you were there. As you can see from other feedback, the Cottage is considered to be in a quiet and rural environment and other guests have complimented the location. We take our guest’s feedback very seriously and we will ensure that the above issues are made clearer in our details to avoid others having a similar experience.

A very cozy and relaxing cottage. Lovely views and wildlife to see. The only down side was the cars and other vehicles racing down the lane at times, but this was an infrequent occurrence.

April cottage is located in a quiet village which suited us. Rear garden was a patio backing on to farmland attractive to birds. Marsh Harrier seen a couple of times. Very good cottage apart from the beds which we both found uncomfortable.
