A lovely area, kitchen dining area perfect and well equipped. But some problems with the cottage, one shower so hot it was dangerous, one radiator didn't work, tv remote didn't work, back door wouldn't close after rain. These were not urgent and have been reported to the owner.

This was the third time we stayed at this cottage in Bourton. We have three children aged between 1 and 6 and its a perfect holiday cottage with a large safe garden and plenty of parking for 3 - 4 cars. It has two bathrooms, one upstairs with a bath and one downstairs with a shower. Perfect for large families. The cottage has Wifi albeit not the quickest. It has a stair gate fitted and a large kitchen and dining table. We like to park up our car and leave it when on holiday and the cottage is about 2 minutes walk from the centre of the village which has a number of attractions for kids and families to enjoy and a picture postcard view on a village green with a small river to feed the ducks (which we did morning and evening). Village gets busy at peak times but it is full of shops, tea rooms and a couple of cosy little pubs. In the time we have been going there has been no updated decoration so it starting to look a little tired but non the less its clean and presentable and very comfortable. As we have been back I would obviously recommend without hesitation.

The house desperately needed some maintenance. Doors did not shut properly, door locks/handles became jammed, TV remotes did not work. Paid extra money for winter fuel but radiator in rear of lounge did not even get warm.

Large, warm, close to town, with a huge patio and garden. Nice surprise to find Wi-Fi had been installed. A little tired decoration-wise but that didn't matter.

We stayed at Appledore last year. My mother is disabled and we need a downstairs bedroom and bathroom so this property is ideal. The location is fantastic for the beautiful Bourton-on-the-Water with all its eateries.

Appledore was a lovely and well equipped cottage in a perfect location. It was much bigger than we had expected and the garden was great for the children. Unfortunately we experienced some problems with the drains when we stayed. Once we worked out that there was a proper underlying problem the owner was quick to bring forward an appointment to have the drains cleaned so I haven't marked down too harshly as hopefully this was a one off. As mentioned in other reviews, the lack of a good supply of hot water to the upstairs bathroom was a problem when trying to give children a bath but otherwise the property was great for small children.
