Set in 70 acres of beautiful pastures leading to the Coombe Valley

Set in 70 acres of beautiful pastures leading to the Coombe Valley. As the name suggests, Sanctuary Farm Cottages provides a wonderful sanctuary in which to relax and unwind. Converted to a very good standard, these barn conversions, built using authentic materials, retain plenty of character with vaulted ceilings, exposed stonework and oak wooden floors. The holiday cottages are set on a mixed working farm and have been individually decorated to provide an ambience of peace and tranquillity. Woods Close (ref 17831) has its own private balcony and sitting out area boasting wonderful views. Guests are free to wander the woodlands and natural grounds or a 1½ mile walk through woodlands leads to the sandy beach at Duckpool. A profusion of cliff, beach and moorland paths for walkers to enjoy - why not start with the coastline’s Heritage Trail. Bude, 5 miles, has shops, pubs, restaurants and facilities for golf, swimming and ten pin bowling. Horse riding in the village. There are four golf courses within a 30-minute drive, including the Ivyleaf Golf Course which is just 3 miles away. Water sports, fishing, canoeing and bird watching at Tamar Lakes, 6 miles. Great break, in a lovely location. The farm is only 1mile from the local beach, and it's well worth walking. The scenery is fantastic, with wild flowers and loads of wildlife.

This was a lovely cottage in a lovely setting and we felt very welcome. A couple of things you may need to know, there is no wifi and very little phone signal at the cottage. The cottage itself is at the end of a long untarmac drive, so cars with low suspensions would struggle. Overall we would stay again as the peace and quiet and welcome was great.

This is a spacious but cosy cottage with a warm welcome and delicious scones! Some great walks available as long as you can put up with a bit of mud and can cope with the digital isolation. We would stay here again without hesitation.

Was lovely and quiet. Quite a bumpy road down to the cottage but was clean and homely. Fantastic

Very nice cottage and friendly owners. Cream tea waiting for us on arrival. Only negative is the farm track leading to the accommodation. If you are not used to this sort of thing and do not have a 4 by 4 it is a bit of a bumpy ride. Other than that, well equipeed cottage in a lovely location.

Great hideaway off the beaten track - no phone signal at all in the cottage which was a bonus to be fair . Very relaxing would definitely recommend as a place to recharge your batteries

Apple tree cottage was fantastic. The owners sue & David were great and come out to meet you as soon as they here your vehicle pull up. The cottage was lovely in beautiful surroundings and the cream tea upon arrival was a real treat. The cottage itself has everything you need. The only thing I would say is that the bed whilst big and relatively comfortable could do with a memory foam topper on there. The local walks around the area are fantastic especially the costal walks from duck pool. For the places we were visiting it was ideally located, please note that the cottage is very rural on a working farm. If you know Cornwall well then you will be aware that some roads only fit one car at a time so the roads in and out can be a little tricky to navigate and the drive leading to the cottage is also a little challenging for lower vehicles as very rugged. This being said the above was a small price to pay for such a beautiful cottage and area and we would most definitely stay there again
