We found Apple Blossom to be a perfect spot for a quiet break in the outstanding area of Cornwall. As shown in the rating the lodge is well equipped ,immaculately clean and the owners helpful and friendly without being over powering. It is close to many beautiful beaches and there are supermarkets within a short drive. Our dogs were welcome and they had a great time. We will definitely visit again. For us, it was the best cottage we have used - and we have been to Cornwall a few times!!!

It was our first holiday to Cornwall., with our two boys and the dog. We were pleasantly pleased with the lodge and surrounding area , which was close to all the beaches and the sun was shining! The owners were a little set back as we arrived half an hour early for our check in time, off 3pm. But they said we could still check in as the lodge was ready for us, after our 6 hour journey. We were looking forward to a relaxing break , and was welcomed by the owners with free range eggs and cake , which was a lovely touch. The lodge was very spacious , clean with all the modern equipment. Although the flooring needed replacing, as the carpet were stained, perhaps it would benefit from laminate in the future, as we understood that the owners were planning on up dating soon. I think the lodge facilities would benefit with a bed settee and bunk beds, then it would allow extra members of the family to stay, as this lodge was only available with dogs for four people. The owners where always out and about, checking that's everything was how it should be , as it was near to their home. At first it did seem a little too much , but then it improved and we could relax and enjoy the lodge as a holiday home. There was a welcome pack which was very helpful, and a recommended walk for our dog , which was lovely. It allowed us to see the village and allowed us to let the dog run . Overall a great lodge and location and will hopefully be back in the near future. Thank you

Response on behalf of the owner: Very glad you enjoyed your stay with us. As you visited in August and the caravan sit was full I am on site much more than normal making sure everyone is enjoying there stay and everything is as it should be. Off season it is much quieter. And you normally only see me if there is a problem. As you have stated we know about the carpet and it is booked in for a change as soon as possible when we have a free couple of weeks clear of bookings. We feel the size of the Lodge is only adequate for 4 persons comfortably. We cant understand why you have only scored 4/10 when you have written such lovely comments and will hopefully be back in the future. Perhaps it needs reviewing. Many thanks for you kind comments.

Although the Lodge was fine, it is a little remote, as long as you accept the fact that no where in Cornwall is that far you will be fine. Our stay was hampered by bad weather for half the week, we actually left a day early. On arrival there was cake, milk and eggs, many thanks. We only saw our landlord once while there, the Thursday evening to check all was well. All in all a good base if like us you love Cornwall.

We love it at Apple Blossom and stay there every year around May Day. It is perfectly situated for us and the lack of local amenities is not a problem. The lodge has all mod cons though some things are getting a little bit 'tired'. However, the new owners are 'on the case' and making improvements.

We really enjoyed our week at Apple Blossom Lodge which is located on a small, clean and quiet site. The lodge itself is a real home from home, comfortably set up for four people with everything you could possibly need. The hosts Nicky and Andy were very helpful and when we did have a small problem it was sorted out within a few minutes. We really appreciated the 'Welcome supplies' that were provided; we arrived fairly late thought we'd have to wait until the following day for a cuppa but we needn't have worried - tea, coffee, milk, croissants and a few other essentials were all provided....a big "thank you" to Nicky and Andy for that. A car is needed as any shops, pubs and beeches are all a short drive away (I'm not sure about public transport). Dogs are welcome in the lodge but can't be left unattended so if you're going out for the day you'll need to take them with you - which isn't too much of an issue as we found the area is generally very dog friendly.
