A beautiful location with lovely surroundings, peaceful and quiet, with only birdsong as the background melody to our relaxing stay. The cottage is to a very high standard of decor and furnishings and cannot be faulted. Good walks from the front door though, after the deluge of rain we have had this year, the ground was very boggy in places. We found a pleasant pub nearby in Hemyock, The Catherine Wheel, that served tasty, quality food at reasonable prices and the staff were helpful with food allergies. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our short stay here. Unfortunately, we will not be returning as my wife found it too remote. But I loved it!

Wonderful break over the Easter weekend. The best equipped cottage we’ve ever stayed in and truly dog friendly and not just dog tolerant. Easter themed cake welcomed us, immaculate cottage, beautifully presented, lovely details and thought through equipment. Enclosed garden for our dog was brilliant. We’d love to come back when it’s sunny and enjoy the BBQ and wonderful garden more! Comfy beds, loads of hanging space and high quality furnishing. Thank you for a welcoming and well needed break :)

Apple barrel Barn is beautiful and perfect for a family of four and a dog. The setting is peaceful and the barn is cosy. Very safe and secure garden for our dog who loved it. Shame our weather was very wet and we couldn’t make the most of the lovely south facing patio.

A very nice countryside location, off the beaten track about 20 minutes drive from Honiton and all relevant shops. Within easy reach of main roads to local attractions etc. We enjoyed our stay.

We took 2 of our grandchildren. The Barn was very homely and a lot of items were included that I did not expect ie dishwasher tablets, washing up liquid, kitchen roll, silver foil and cling film. The place was spotless and a very lovely touch by the owners was fresh flowers, fresh eggs and a delicious home made Victoria sponge. We only stayed for 3 days but the grandchildren loved the fact that 2 horses and some sheep were right next to the garden which was lovely. If a downside were to be found it would be that the lanes were very narrow in part and if you met oncoming traffic then you had to back up and sometimes it was quite "hairy" especially for 2 senior citizens.

Very nice cottage, clean and a paradise for dogs. In case of beautiful weather on weekends numerous aircrafts and helicopters from the nearby airfield flew over the house.
