A very nice countryside location, off the beaten track about 20 minutes drive from Honiton and all relevant shops. Within easy reach of main roads to local attractions etc. We enjoyed our stay.

We took 2 of our grandchildren. The Barn was very homely and a lot of items were included that I did not expect ie dishwasher tablets, washing up liquid, kitchen roll, silver foil and cling film. The place was spotless and a very lovely touch by the owners was fresh flowers, fresh eggs and a delicious home made Victoria sponge. We only stayed for 3 days but the grandchildren loved the fact that 2 horses and some sheep were right next to the garden which was lovely. If a downside were to be found it would be that the lanes were very narrow in part and if you met oncoming traffic then you had to back up and sometimes it was quite "hairy" especially for 2 senior citizens.

Very nice cottage, clean and a paradise for dogs. In case of beautiful weather on weekends numerous aircrafts and helicopters from the nearby airfield flew over the house.

We Found AppleBarrel barn very charming. It was warm and welcoming. The homemade cake was fab, the eggs and the fresh flowers a lovely touch. Sally was very friendly and made sure we wanted for nothing. the country roads were narrow and challenging but fun !! The country side and views were lovely. We took a drive to Sidmouth and was blown away by the "Jurrasic coastline" just stunning. AppleBarrel barn was a delight to stay in, we found the ponies and sheep in the garden a lovely thing to watch in the morning. Our dog Rubi loved the safe garden to run around in. We will be back in the future I'm sure.

Applebarrel Barn is one of those rare place where you go to do absolutely nothing. It is well equipped, as comfortable as can be, close enough to Honi that you don't need to go without but far enough away that you can escape from whatever you want to from your normal life. When the owner's horses started running around their paddock next to our large and safely enclosed garden, we were so delighted to watch our 2.5 year old Field Labrador copy them and run his own laps. I've personally always needed to get out and about each day to not waste a single day away. In contrast, this beautiful barn cried out "get bread, get fillings, get cider and now sit around eating sandwiches, drinking cider, cuddling your dog and being nice to your wife. The entire essence of the barn is, sit down relax and forget you ever had a choice more complicated than" which sandwich filling would you like?" In summation, LOVELY STUFF
