These well appointed and attractive detached holiday cottages lie in the village of Kewstoke, only 1.5 miles to a local unspoilt beach at Sandbay and the National Trust headland of Sand Point. They have been renovated and offer a comfortable and peaceful base from which to explore the surrounding countryside and resorts. Only 3 miles to Weston-super-Mare with its long sandy beaches, aquarium, shops and traditional family attractions, and the smaller resorts of Clevedon, Burnham-on-Sea and Brean. With easy access to the M5, it is a short drive to other coastal areas of North Devon and Wales. The surrounding countryside includes the Quantock and Blackdown Hills, and the Somerset levels and moors, providing ample opportunities for walking and cycling. Further afield places to visit include Cheddar Gorge and caves, Wookey Hole, the cities of Bath and Bristol, Glastonbury and Wells. The owners provide a free family ticket to Puxton Park Family Attractions for bookings of 3 nights or longer. Shops, pub and restaurant 1.5 miles.

    Lovely spacious property, good location for getting to local attractions and facilities. Shame it did not have a bath but we managed for a weekend but it probably would have been a struggle for longer with a toddler.

    Lovely cottage really cosy. Kitchen is well equipped & very clean. Bedrooms are lovely with good mattresses & again really clean. It very close to western super mare with its beautiful beach. Nice garden although the road can be a little noisy but that won't put me off from staying here again. All in all a great place to stay

    The holiday accommodation is excellent. Very light, spacious, comfortable and clean. It is well equipped and there is plenty of space outside for children to safely run around and a nice sheltered spot to eat outdoors if the weather is good. We will definitely be going again and highly recommend Apple Barn.

    Great cottage in beautiful area by. Sand bay. Easy access to other parts of Somerset and short drive into Weston super mare. Cottage has entry of space with large kitchen diner and separate sitting room. Plenty of parking and outside space.

    Excellent setting Minor issues Poor WiFi DVD player needs replacing, poor play back skipping Broken section in washing machine drum to potentially damage clothing

    We were a group of 5 including 3 children. The cottage was in a fantastic location with all the facilities you could ask for. The only minor improvements we would suggest are a service of the dishwasher (which didn't work), and the washing machine (which leaked), and a review of the mattresses. One of the twin room ones was very uncomfortable for an adult, and the memory foam one on the double bed was also a little thin meaning the bed frame could be felt. Having said that we would recommend Apple Barn to others, and would definitely consider staying there again.

    Cottage in a beautiful location and good base for exploring the area. Wonderful walks . I think that the decor needs some refurbishment and it would be a good idea to replace mattresses on beds with better quality as they were uncomfortable. Kitchen equipment also needs updating. It's not expensive to buy in Asda which is just down the road and would enhance holiday experience. Having sais all that we had a fab time as the area is beautiful .

    It suited our purposes (downstairs bathroom, location, quiet road) but I would have expected it to be a lot cleaner and there was an ant infestation in the kitchen which wasn't great!
