We enjoyed a family get together at the Barn. Comfortable and well placed for places to visit in Derbyshire.

We have just come back from an excellent holiday where we stayed at Annies Meadow Barn in April. If you use a sat nav it is slightly fiddly to get to the Barn, if you use the directions provided they will get you straight there. The Barn is in a beautiful location and is surrounded by fields. The house was large enough for 5 adults and 1 toddler, the bedrooms are a decent size, although the smallest bedroom would be a bit tight for 2 people. The Games room is a great size. The lounge is a quirky shape but you can see the TV from any location. The kitchen is also large enough for 8 people. However the fridge / freezer box in the kitchen is too small for a family of 6. There is now a fridge in the games room which we utilised. There is also a freezer outside in the Barn, but this was dirty so we did not use. There is a Sainsbury's and Waitrose about 10 mins away in Ashbourne. As we were out every day we just stopped at the shops and topped the fridge up every few days. The Garden is a decent size and fenced in, with a gate at the end of the drive. This meant we could let our son play outside with minimal supervision. A small improvement would be to have WiFi. We had poor 3G and 4G signals. It's amazing how much you miss the internet when you do not have it. Especially map facilities and working out distances and times to places. The lack of WiFi and the small fridge did not detract from us enjoying the holiday and we would consider staying at this cottage again.

We had a lovely week, in a very comfy barn. Plenty of room for extended family to visit and great separate games room with ping pong table that the kids loved. Nice location in the middle of no where, with great views over the fields.

Only problem was the small bedroom which was not suitable for two adults. The cottage was well equipped and a real pleasure to spend Christmas at.
