Loved our stay at Annie's cottage. Very cosy and snug. Everything we needed. The fire was great. In a lovely village, 3 pubs very close by. A good few shops. Nearby is a lovely waterfall and some other really nice attractions also. Would definitely come back x

The cottage is well-situated and quiet. I found it quite cramped, but my partner thought it wonderfully cosy - so it all depends on personal preference. It would have been nice to have somewhere to hang clothes in the bedroom, and the light switches up there were a little confusing, but all in all I thought it was fine for a couple of nights. My partner thought it was charming and brilliant.

Perfect location for walking with lots to see locally. Cottage was cluttered and a little grubby.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the owner; Thank you for your comments. I take feedback from guests that stay at Annie's Cottage very seriously. It is difficult when it comes to ornaments etc to achieve the best balance between homeliness and clutter. Guests vary in what they like but I will certainly review what I have in the cottage in light of the comments received. This is a very heavily booked cottage and it's completely re-decorated every 18 months. This years re-decoration will take place in the autumn. After that period of heavy use and fires, things start to fade and discolour, however the cottage is always cleaned to a high standard. From time to time I bring in a professional team to do a deep clean.

My husband and I stayed for 3 nights over the BH weekend. The cottage was lovely and the location had everything we needed. Lots of lovely walks on the door step, especially to the waterfall. We will definitely return. T

Lovely, cosy cottage that's very well equipped with everything you need. The only negative would be if you have mobility problems, the stairs are very steep. Parking was right outside the cottage . The village has everything you need, a local shop, cafe, fish and chip shop, a few nice pubs and all the villagers are friendly .The area is ideal of walking with beautiful scenery.
