The worst holiday cottage we have ever stayed in it was just a pokey hovel we booked 14 days and came home after 6 it was that bad it has put us off holiday cottages for the forseeable future we feel cheated it was an expensive six days and will not be repeated

    Response from: administrator

Response on behalf of the owner; I was most disappointed and surprised to read your comments regarding some aspects of your stay at Annies Cottage. When I visited you at the beginning of your stay, you told me that the electric kettle was not switching off properly and also the TV reception on channel 4 was poor. You also said the garden steps were steep and expressed your general dislike of the Cottage. I offered to change your linen the following Friday and you accepted this offer. The following day I arranged for an engineer to install a new TV aerial and all channels then worked perfectly. I also provided you with a new electric kettle. I returned to the cottage on the Friday to change the linen and found that you had left. Our aim is to ensure an enjoyable stay for all our visitors and you will see from previous reviews that the majority of our guests have really enjoyed their stay with us. Annies Cottage was inspected during August (2015) and the property retained its 4* grade, our Regional Manager was fully satisfied with the way the Cottage was presented. I believe the photographs on the website display adequately the accommodation that is on offer and give a fair and true representation of our property.

Lovely cottage, very cosy and comfortable and equipped with everything we needed. Great location for walking and visiting nearby towns. Nice little village with well stocked village shops and some nice pubs. A real 'get-away from it all'.

Easy to find, easy to feel at home in. Lovely set up. Very cute. Sofa could have been a little more comfortable but that is the only negative i could think of. Directions to find the property were well written. Village was very welcoming and didn't have any trouble finding what we needed (apart from more small logs for the wood burner). All in all we had a lovely time. Especially as there was no signal and no internet which was ideal for a little weekend getaway

Cosy little cottage in a lovely spot. Well equipped and comfortable. Steep narrow stairs with low headroom would not suit everybody, but it didn't bother us - we had a good few days and were sorry to leave.
