Both holiday & cottage were great. The cottage was tidy & clean, the location was excellent, with a bus stop to the city less than 2 minutes away. There was a supermarket only a 10 minute drive and the local shops within walking distance. We had a good sleep every night, so no issues with the beds & there was plenty of space for storing clothing in the wardrobes & drawers. The bedrooms have good curtains, so once there closed no light seeps through. Angus Vale also has a very well kept garden that is ideal for eating outside.

The property had not been serviced prior to our arrival so it was a disappointing start to our break. As a whole the facilities were unclean at best, and filthy at worst, we had to wash kitchen items before they were fit for use. The bathroom had serious issues with mildew in the shower area, and was generally tired and unclean. Throws and cushions in the sitting room were stained and covered in hair. If it had not been for Betty across the road from the property (who was so helpful) allowing us to use her facilities I have no idea what we would have done with our rubbish because the bins were either overflowing or contaminated. This is our 3rd time at the cottage and although the owner did refund a portion of our payment, we will not be back.

It was a fantastic holiday with lovely accommodation. The location was great and in easy reach for everything we needed. We have booked again for next year.

A lovely 'home' to return to after a hectic day in Edinburgh and the number 5 bus is so handy being at the top of the road taking you into the city centre so no hassle finding parking, great.

I stayed here to allow work to be done in my house up the road and found Angus Vale very cold and bare. Wooden floors through makes a cold house when temp drops at night and for a house not to have WiFi in this day and age is shocking imaging people coming from all over the world and not being able to keep in touch with emails and kids for their social media... I'm glad I didn't pay for this stay as insurance company did, overall a nice little house but needs to be fitted out for hehe modern world

from start to finish a great holiday. its not every holiday you come home to a fox asleep in the spring sunshine at the bottom of the garden.the mark of a place is if you would buy it and live there this was it.

There were a couple of small issues - two bulbs out, the battery in the Co2 detector out, the note from the last occupants about Halloween damage not picked up, a pair of old pants on the twin room floor - but in the main it was fine and we had a lovely conversation with neighbour Betty. We should have noticed there was no WiFi - that was an issue for us but my fault for just assuming everybody has a connection these days. Plus the foxes are noisy and messy, but pretty to watch at three a m when they set the security lights on.
