We were made to feel very welcome at Anchor Cottage. Beverage and Ali couldn't do enough for us. The property is very clean, and comfortable and close to the river. There was a lovely welcome package, including Welsh cakes. Seriously recommend this cottage. We had a lovely week and hope to return.

A very good holiday despite the cottage. The cottage had 1) no view - a tree,a stable block,a large double garage. 2) no WiFi as stated in the brochure 3) not able to sit in the garden, without the owners dogs barking ,growling and throwing themselves at the small fence next to the cottage. 4) access to the promised washing machine, resulting in complaints from the owner. Due to the problems with the cottage, we spent almost everyday away. Our use of the washing machine in the morning or evening, upset the owner, creating an uncomfortable atmosphere, and the dogs being let into the garden every time we go back. During the second week we preferred to buy new clothes, rather than use the washing machine. Stangely, the owner was very friendly as we left. Our overall impression was very poor. If you want a holiday in a shed at the bottom of an unfriendly neighbours garden, this is the holiday for you. Never again for us.

Response on behalf of the owner:- I apologise for the fact that you could not receive wi-fi,during your stay with us. Due to our location some of our guests do struggle with phone and wi- fi connection which is why you were given a front door key to the B and B next door, with a welcome to use the guest lounge where the reception is better. I do however dispute all the other comments you have made. I am sad that your experience of both myself and the cottage was not a positive one as enjoyed by all other guests who have visited us.

The cottage was lovely perfect for the two of us but would have been just as nice for 4, the main bedroom was huge and had a really nice high ceiling. It was quiet and relaxing just what we wanted. The owner couldn't have been friendlier, but without being intrusive, the wine and nibbles were a lovely touch. The directions were excellent and we were given information about the area and where to go both in leaflets and by the owner.

Lovely cottage and very such a warm welcome from Bev and Ali. Sadly the weather wasn't good but the cottage was so cosy and warm. Very dog friendly and would definitely recommend this cottage to dog lovers and those without dogs too. Also everything was so clean.

A very comfortable cottage with the comforts of home. Nice and central for visiting the area, although disappointed in St Clears.

Had a fantastic time at Anchor cottage with the family and our english bull terrier ,plenty of walks which our dog needs lol, some local shops but with Tesco only being a fifteen minute drive away in Carmarthen that was ideal for us, Bev left us too it after coming out to greet us had left us a welcome pack which was such a nice touch we didn't see much of her, but felt she was totally approachable if you needed anything, first thing she told us was wifi and some mobile networks are a little hit and miss dependant on your network but i was more than happy not to have any calls and emails but that wasn't the case for us as we were out exploring the beautiful places anyhow all day. Perfect walks for your dog our girl slept all day when we got home she was shattered ha ha. Loved laugharne but would recommend the trip down to Amroth that place is a hidden gem with a cracking pub on the beach front. Loads to do down West Wales from the Dylan Thomas boathouse to st David's amazing cathedral plenty of castles and beaches to be visited.

The cottage is beautifully located by a river bank. We was greeted by a friendly host who made us feel welcome. I was impressed at the standard of cleanliness. We enjoyed our stay very much and loved exploring wales.
