Beautiful position and very cosy warm cottage. Difficult to find, and in this day and age, no WiFi is unacceptable...especially in a very poor reception area.

Another lovely stay at Anchor Cottage for our walking weekend in Norfolk. It makes a quiet, cosy base that is a stone's throw from the quayside and the excellent Wells Deli - always good for a coffee and cake! Has all you need, very characterful, quiet and warm. Just the place to relax after a walk by the saltmarshes. As the man said, "I'll be back"

Just 2 of us stayed at Anchor Cottage, so had plenty of room. Enjoyed separate bedrooms with their own staircases and small shower rooms. Kitchen well equipped. Great location, no trouble parking, didn’t use the car once parked as we used the Coasthopper bus.

A beautiful cottage, tastefully decorated and furnished, definitely not cluttered. The only improvements I would make, the step from kitchen to living room is very steep, there should be a rail for sake of safety. Also, airer too narrow to successfully dry clothes. However, a lovely view from upstairs accross the bay. Would recommend .

Good little cottage, Beds a bit soft, overall a bit messy with too many nick nacks makes it hard to keep clean but ideal location. Enjoyed our stay, would use again.

It's not often you feel right at home in a rental cottage when you arrive, ours was a short stay but I can't recommend this place enough if you want everything in staggerring distance in one of the few character seaside towns left (not too posh (yet) and not too Skeggy!). The no parking situation really isn't a drama although we were out of season. A few hooks in the bathrooms would help though (really is that going to make your stay less enjoyable). Thanks will be back whilst we can still afford Wells

Third stay here but the cottage needs a good clean and a bit of money spending on it. All baking tins need replacing but we lined everything with tin foil. Everywhere needs a good clean and polish-just look at the fake plant in the fireplace in the dining room plus lots of cobwebs everywhere. Such a shame as it's such a warm cosy cottage and so close to all Wells amenities. Cottage particulars say to park in Jicklings Yard but as they are building on it and it's closed during the day this was impossible. I think the particulars need amending to indicate where you can park. Perfect location though and plenty of hot water for showering. Used heating in the evenings and extremely efficient.

We loved staying at the cottage in Wells what a lovely friendly place it is ,the cottage we think was worth the cost for a family ,,but because we were just two pensioners we thought it was just a touch too expensive for us . Can’t find anything to complain about really, maybe the one thing we had to be careful with was the stairs ..especially when the old man had had a couple of pints 😂..seriously though we would love to stay there again and would definitely recommend it . Incidentally we found out my cousin and here husband stayed around 20 yrs ago and they enjoyed it too xx...thank you !

We thought it was a very well equipped cottage and was in a very good location. It definitely became home for the week. The only down side is the narrow steep staircase.

I adored the little cottage . the caretaker was very sweet to come out to sort out how to heat the place and tell me how to get the hob alight. He gave me good directions on how to find the cottage from the bus stop, too. I made myself at home completely in the fully equipped kitchen and very much enjoyed Wells-next-the-Sea. Thank you.

Take towels - bath towels are not provided which we missed in the write up. Great location. We got a season ticket for the Council car park which was a few minutes walk away and had no problem parking overnight. Each of the bedrooms is up a separate flight of stairs - think spiral staircase rather than standard. Our preference was for the room upstairs from the dining room - more headroom.
