Description

A rural setting, this is a perfect base for a couple wanting a peaceful base from which to explore Cornwall’s many attractions.

These delightful, single-storey, adjoined, stone holiday barn conversions (29311, 29312 and 30635) are set in a peaceful rural setting, with wonderful views across rolling countryside towards the sea. Enjoy stunning coastal walks, the beautiful white sandy beach at Sennen Cove, quaint harbours including Mousehole, Newlyn and Lamorna Cove and the many local pubs. Visit the romantic Minack open-air theatre which is cut into the rockface with a wonderful backdrop of the ocean and overlooking the beautiful cove at Porthcurno, home to the Cable and Wireless Museum. The busy square at St Just has delightful craft shops, galleries, bakers, butchers, supermarket and pubs. Trevore Farm is perfectly located for exploring west Cornwall: there is an abundance of mining history, with engine houses dotted along the coastline including the famous Crown Mines and Geevor Tin Mine, both open to the public. Land’s End airport is just a few miles away, which offers daily trips to the beautiful Isles of Scilly. The busy historic town of Penzance, with its long promenade, lido, art galleries, restaurants, cafés and main line train station is just a short drive. St Micheal’s Mount sits proudly on its island and dominates Mounts Bay. The Mount can be reached on foot by causeway at low tide, or by small boat at high tide. Stroll through the ancient town of Marazion, or take the scenic coastal drive from Pendeen to St Ives. Beach 2 miles. Shop, pub and restaurant 2 miles.
An Garth (29311), An Gwel (29312) and Pen Tewan (30635) can be booked together to accommodate up to 10 guests.

We live in Truro but love West Cornwall. We used AnGwel as a base to walk the coast path and were really surprised by how clean the property was and how helpful the family were. I would highly recommend staying at this friendly barn complex to anyone who wants to really explore West Cornwall.

Warm welcome, great location and cottage clean, comfortable and blissfully quiet and tranquil. Traveling by car simply 10 minutes from Lands End and quarter of an hour from Penzance, good base for touring around Cornwall. Everything we needed was provided at the cottage, would definitely recommend.
