Description

In a rural setting, yet within easy reach of many attractions, this is a peaceful base for relaxing after a day exploring the area.

These delightful, single-storey, adjoined, stone holiday barn conversions (29311, 29312 and 30635) are set in a peaceful rural setting, with wonderful views across rolling countryside towards the sea. Enjoy stunning coastal walks, the beautiful white sandy beach at Sennen, quaint harbours including Mousehole, Newlyn and Lamorna Cove and local pubs. Visit the romantic Minack open-air theatre, cut into the rockface with a wonderful backdrop of the ocean and overlooking the beautiful cove at Porthcurno, home to the Cable and Wireless Museum. The busy square at St Just has delightful craft shops, galleries, bakers, butchers, supermarket and pubs. Trevore Farm is perfectly located for exploring west Cornwall: there is an abundance of mining history, with engine houses dotted along the coastline including the famous Crown Mines and Geevor Tin Mine, both open to the public. Land’s End airport is just a few miles away, which offers daily trips to the beautiful Isles of Scilly. The busy historic town of Penzance, with its long promenade, lido, art galleries, restaurants, cafes and main line train station is just a short drive. St Micheal’s Mount sits proudly on its island and dominates Mounts Bay. The Mount can be reached on foot by causeway at low tide, or by small boat at high tide. Stroll through the ancient town of Marazion, or take the scenic coastal drive from Pendeen to St Ives. Beach 2 miles. Shop, pub and restaurant 2 miles. Properties 29311, 29312 and 30635 can be booked together to accommodate up to 10 guests.

Clean cottage, in fact, spotless, very contemporary in decoration, and uncluttered.

The cottage is situated down a quiet, pretty lane as part of a farm renovation. The views are fantastic. The cottage itself is very well maintained and equiped and is spotlessly clean. We had absolutely everything we needed with the exception of a cheese grater which was very promptly provided by the owners Keith and Jennifer. Thank you! On arrival a plate of homemade scones with jam and clotted cream awaited us, a very nice touch and very welcome after a long journey. My sons did miss having Wi-fi (admittedly i didn't) but this is something the owners are looking into. The cottage is within easy reach of Lands End, Penzance, St Just, Sennan Cove and numerous pretty, sandy beaches with lots of walks. We had a lovely, peaceful holiday and would thoroughly recommend An Garth to anyone.
