A lovely cottage, very comfortable, clean, and well-stocked. Owners were helpful, friendly and very kind and welcoming. Our two dogs were made very welcome, too. Would definitely recommend.

A great location in a quite position , where you can just unwind and chill out,or central to explore as it not far from Seaton where there is a dog friendly beach and Loo a little further on, plus Bodmin and Port Isaac were the series Doc Martin Is filmed, check out the coastal path from there to Port Quinn some steep climbs in places but worth it for the views, all in all a great place to spend you holiday.

Nice cottage too close to the owners property. The owner and family kept invading our space so had no privacy at all. We also had to cope with a wasp nest in the eaves of the cottage the owners said they knew nothing about.

Inconvenient arrangement - entrance via a low doorway into the downstairs bedroom, which felt a bit damp and musty. Comfortable bed. Basic bathroom and old fashioned loo. Dark brown woodwork and dark patterned carpets made the place look gloomy, despite a rather nice big window to the west. Adequate kitchen but no teapot or coffee pot, and no kitchen knives. No broadband or phone signal. Potholes on the driveway. The photos are quite deceptive and misleading.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the Owner; The listing states the layout of our cottage, with photos in which you can see the nature of the decoration. So your comment of deceptiveness does not hold. It is a well-known fact that mobile signals in the countryside can be hit and miss. I am on a very popular network which works perfectly well. We do not advertise Wi-Fi, so this should not have come as a surprise to you. There may be some shallow potholes in the country lane the cottage is down, but again you are in the countryside, off the main road, and this too is not unusual. With regards to knives, there were four knives to match the forks, plus a variety of other kitchen knives in the drawers. We are more than happy to always help and assist our guests, but simply cannot do anything about any supposed problems if we are not advised. We met on a number of friendly, talkative occasions during the week, when you could have asked me for the one thing that actually was missing, namely a teapot. This I would have happily supplied you, rather than, as you told me as you were leaving, you bought yourselves one from a charity shop! The bathroom does not pretend to be anything other than basic, and nor does the separate toilet. It is a shame that the week you stayed in our cottage it rained every day. The cottage is checked and cleared yearly by the holiday company, who have graded it and make sure there are no problems.
