We couldn't fault this lovely cottage, it had everything! The welcome pack and cream tea were superb, fresh flowers everywhere, every room had wonderful homely little touches.

A lovely period cottage, beautifully furnished and very fully equipped. Golant is a very old-fashioned village, in the best sense, with narrow and steep streets. Good riverside pub with excellent beer and very reasonable pub food. Good location overall for touring with good access to NT sites, Eden Project, lovely beaches. Overall, a great place for a very quiet holiday.

On arrival we had a nice welcome pack, cream tea. Bacon, sausages, eggs for breakfast. Also lots of fruit. Very nice... But we found the cottage dark and in need of updating very tired, one of the bedrooms had a broken blind on a French window, which made the room very bright early in the morning, however the owner wrote in a card saying sorry about the blind. The Loo in the bedroom was a small room with not much headroom when the light was on the fan made lots of noise. I'm sorry to say these things as the owner had been very generous with the welcome pack.

Had a great time, the cottage was a little more remote than I thought. It was very cold on arrival so could have done with a pre warm up. But overall good and lovely arrival with scones cream and jam...very very nice. Plus fresh flowers added to the welcome.

Delightful cottage. The owners had left a delicious cream tea, a welcome card and breakfast pack. There was more than enough provision made for the open fire( logs, firelighters etc). We had asked for some decorations for Christmas and the owners had made it perfect with three mini trees, one of which was in the dining room and fresh flowers in the hall and on the dining room table.Beds were fantastically comfortable. The only caveat is that the 'parking for up to four cars' is a little...hopeful. Two would be more likely.

We had a most enjoyable stay in an interesting village. The cottage was perfect for us. The owners had kindly left us a starter pack to sustain us from the trip and give us a good breakfast before we had a chance to get to the shops

We thought that the cottage was absolutely beautiful it is obviously well loved and cared for. There was a great attention to detail thus making the cottage so cosy and inviting. Praise must be given to the owners who thought of everything to make the holiday so special. A lovely bowl of fruit was left for us together with bacon, sausages, eggs, bread and milk and the piece de resistance a delicious cream tea with scones, jam and clotted cream and a large pot of tea. What a lovely greeting! Who wouldn't want to return time and again.
