Set in Exmoor National Park, The Granary is amongst some of the most glorious scenery in Devon

Alta Lyn Barns are set in a glorious position with far reaching views out to the Bristol Channel, set high above the towns of Lynton and Lynmouth. These three properties (HKKP, HKKW & HMMH) are part of a barn conversion set within the Exmoor National Park. The holiday apartments have been fully restored with exposed beams and rafters. Catering and various courses are available to book directly with the owner. Set amongst some of the most glorious scenery to be found in Devon, plenty of footpaths and coastal walks can be taken from the apartments, which are on Exmoor National Park. Walk through the heather; look out for red deer, ponies and buzzards. The properties are ideally situated for exploring the area. To the west are some of the country’s finest beaches at Woolacombe and Putsbourgh. At Ilfracombe there is the harbour area, Landmark Theatre and an good range of shops and amenities. Visit the Combe Martin Wildlife Park and Watermouth Castle. Travelling east, take a trip into Dunster, 10 miles, and visit the historic yarn market and castle. Minehead, with its sandy beach, is 18 miles. Take in all the small villages close by, such as Blue Anchor, Watchet and Old Cleave and the many NT properties waiting to be explored. Shops 1 mile, pub 3 miles (1 mile if walking).

All on first floor: Living/dining room/kitchen with beams. 2 bedrooms: 1 double (6ft, can be twin), 1 twin. Bathroom with shower over bath and toilet.

CD. Small courtyard with furniture. Juliet balcony. Parking (2 cars).

Electricity, underfloor heating from solar panels and air source heat pumps included (October-April £30 per week, £25 per short break). Bed linen and towels included. Travel cot. High chair. Freeview TV. DVD. Microwave. Shared laundry room with coin-operated washing machine and tumble dryer. Dishwasher. Wi-fi. Natural water supply from borehole. No smoking.

    We arrived late on a monday night.. Peter greeted us and showed us into The Granary. The accommodation was fine for what we needed it for. However everything did need a good clean and a bit of a spruce up. There were deer antlers which had fallen off the wall. everywhere needed dusting. The curtains were held up by hooks that were constantly falling out of the ceiling. Also the entrance needs to be looked at.. I appreciate it is next to a farm.. and this honestly was a plus point as the kids loved it.. But it was full of pot holes and very very muddy.. We had a great few days at the Granary.. It could be an amazing place with a bit of TLC.
