Very enjoyable holiday lovely cottage with great views. Although car required as access is a long steep hill with no immediate local amenities. Plenty of great attractions to visit in the region.

Lovely cottage, very friendly hosts ,very clean.Could do with a fenced off area to let your dog out .Road up to property full of potholes .Great place to meet up with family/friends as you can hire next door as well.Overall very pleased,a few chipped cups and missing bits of kitchen equipment but you are only there for short duration so it's hardly a spoiler. We would definitely stay again .The coastline around there-Oxwich Bay /Three Cliffs well worth the drive.Mumbles is nice for a stroll around Swansea bay even if you have pushchairs or wheelchairs.

Brilliant conversion. So comfortable. loved the kitchen . great views over the countryside. Helen and Ian the owners so friendly, nothing too much trouble. would definately recommmend. Easy to accesss the Gower, lovely bays in the area. We were three retired people but the place and the area would be good for families as well, very spacious property. Visited some caves locally, 2 hugh and one smaller one, all very interesting. some school children visiting. they were all enjoying themselves, beautifully landscaped and for the childern lots of life size dinorsaurs dotted all over the place. Also a place adjacent with animals, so lots to do there on a rainy day. If you like fish Swansea market is the place to go open every all day, you can walk through from the Tesco car park. We had a lovely holiday and would book again when coming to that part of Wales.

Excellent property to explore South Wales ... We chose this property because it was near to Margam Park. Friendly welcome by the owners Mum and the photographs really don't do the property justice. Thank you

We were very pleased with the cottage - it was comfortable, clean and of a good size on both levels and the beds were very comfortable too. There were beautiful views across the valley and the landlady was very warm and friendly. There were one or two little things that we felt could have been improved - the main bathroom smelt of drains. It wasn't too bad but wouldn't dissipate even with the window left open, we couldn't work out how to use the recliners on the main sofa. The mechanisms were not like the other sofa and the chair. There were one or two DVD's but only for small children or one about river fishing (obviously everyone's taste is different but there are usually a few at other places we have stayed). Finally, it was very dark in the main room and we had to have the lights on all the time but obviously nothing can be done about that. If the cottage were somewhere else we would be very happy to rent it again as we loved it but we found that that Pontadarwe didn't have a lot going for it (or we missed it!) and because of the cottage's position high up the hill above the town through several housing estates, we had to drive everywhere.

Spacious and well presented cottage, lots of facilities and equipment provided, and welcome provisions on arrival. Friendly and helpful owners, close to hand to help with any problems or issues. Nice woodlands to the rear of the property for dog walking. This is the first cottage we have stayed in, so cannot compare it with others, and not sure how prices compare, but certainly good value depending on the number at the cottage and a bonus that takes your beloved pets. Location was chosen as it was near our relatives, but it is nicely located for sight seeing in the area. It is in an elevated position in the small village which offers a cafe , pub, etc. We would be happy to return depending on the circumstances of our next visit, but yes, I would recommend this cottage to others.

The cottage was nice and the owners extremely helpful. The Afan Forest was great for mountain biking and Cardiff and the Mumbles were good. Unfortunately the weather during our stay was wet for 70% of the time and therefore it was difficult to find suitable alternative activities. Swansea was a little tired and had limited appeal. So excellent area if you are into your mountain biking and/or cycling, even better if the weather is good.
