A nicely converted barn, with easy parking. Large kitchen, though the washing machine needs attention. WiFi worked well, once we had found the login details. The bedrooms are very comfortable. A very convenient location for access to Oxford, London and the Cotswolds. Bicester Village is near, with fantastic designer shops and free parking for the outlets and railway station. Avoid the station car-park, which can be expensive, if you can find a space! It's the first time that we have been asked for a deposit for breakages; we haven't been asked for this at other holiday cottages. It's a very easy, clean, cottage in which to stay.

Alfies Barn is a super location for touring the area, from Bicester Outlet Village to Gaydon Motor Museaum and Bletchley Park. The area is full of interesting country houses , villages and walks. Alfies Barn is well appointed, clean and comfy in a quiet corner surrounded by countryside. Where from the patio we were able to watch Dear , Foxes and numerous birds.

We had a good holiday exploring oxford and the Cotswolds. The barn was clean and well equipped. We felt the dinning chairs were uncomfortable. We was unsure if we had use of the back garden or not .

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the owner. I am amazed that a 4.5 grade has been given because chairs were disliked. As for the garden a large area of lawn and a paddock can be used by guests and I always tell them they can use that area. There is a lot of ground space and it would have been really simple to ask if any other areas needed to be used.

Alfie's Barn was one of the best cottages we have stayed in. Everything we needed was there, the wildlife in the field adjoining the property was also fantastic. Nice, quiet location. Would highly recommend the cottage and we were sorry to have missed the owner when we left as we wished to thank her personally. Hope to book again when in the area. Many thanks, Jo & Preston, Essex
