The beds in two main bedrooms were described as 5 foot so we expected king size they were double and three of our party were very tall so not very comfortable The kitchen was well equipped and the house was warm however there was lots of sand under the sofas and cobwebs in lounge so clearly hadn't been cleaned properly from previous occupants Overall the house was nice and the owner popped in to see if everything was okay which was nice We enjoyed our stay and it is difficult to find property's to take four dogs and we appreciate that life isn't perfect !

We stayed at Alarch last weekend for a friends wedding. There were 4 couples sharing and our dog, we had everything we needed. House was spotless upon arrival. I would definitely like to come back again!

Beautiful location, brilliant base for all who love to walk or just relax at the beach. House was well looked after, comfortable and homely. But overall it was the location that will bring us back. Close to the beach, shops and quite a few attractions. Will recommend and definitely be looking to book again.

Response on behalf of the owner. Thank you Andrea and family for your kind review of ALARCH. It was a pleasure to meet you, and to have you as our guests. I would like to point out to any one who takes notice of Reevoos, that Andrea and family stayed in Alarch in exactly the same condition as previous guests were so critical of on Reevoo.

Lovely area, good amenities and nice house however the cleanliness was very poor in fact unacceptable. We did contact the owner who tried to resolve the issue by contacting the cleaners but to no avail. He did provide a vacuum and mop instead. We filled the vacuum the 1st day we got it! We have never had to clean a holiday cottage the 1st day we arrived before! Such a shame as the house was big enough for the 10 of us and 2 dogs.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the owner; I wish to set the record straight regarding this review. This property is professionally cleaned and prepared, at every changeover, by a well-established and reliable company, who own a portfolio of holiday cottages themselves. They are well aware of standards of cleanliness required and expected by guests. The guests’ family alerted me to issues regarding cleanliness of Alarch on the morning after their arrival. They also stated that a bucket and mop, and the vacuum cleaner provided, were unusable. I travelled immediately to Alarch, having purchased new bucket, mop, and expensive vacuum cleaner for their use. Upon my arrival, they informed me that the cleaning carried out prior to their visit was a disgrace. The cleaners were immediately summoned to return to Alarch to rectify matters, this they did as soon as possible.

I have to agree with some of the other reviews, in regards to creaking floor boards upstairs , so one up all up, chairs in the dining room need attention, you can feel the springs when you sit down, some of the pans and kitchen utensils have seen better days, and no Wi Fi , otherwise not a bad place to stay.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the owner; Thank you for your feedback. BT have installed unlimited free WiFi three days after you left. With respect, if we were told of problems with dining chairs, they would have been immediately replaced; three chairs were replaced before Christmas. Similarly, pans and utensils will be inspected, and replaced as necessary. We do rely, and request our guests to contact us should there be any problem, or indeed any breakage or breakdown, to contact us for our immediate attention during their stay.

We had a very enjoyable weekend here as a family. Was great to be able to have all our dogs with us too. The only reason for an '8' on overall rating was a broken door handle in living room and a blocked drain in garden. However it was mentioned to the owner and wasn't causing us a big issue and we said we didn't need it doing that weekend. He assured us it would be remedied for the next people staying there.
