We had a wonderful new year break in a beautiful location, well away from the hustle & bustle of every day life. Peggy & Martin were perfect hosts and pretty much left us to our own devices but were always there when we needed them. The property is small but clean & cosy but plenty big enough for a couple. Not much to do in the immediate area off season, which didn't bother us too much but it is ideally placed for catching the ferry to Mull for a nice day out. We will definitely be going again.

The tranquillity and remoteness of the cottage allowed us to unwind and relax completely. Peggy and Martin were the perfect hosts, very helpful and welcoming and then leaving us to our own devices. The garden is a haven for wildlife. the standard of all about the cottage was high and the (midge free) weather was so kind we were able to walk each day, as hoped, in differing environments. The ferry made trips to Mull very simple and the shop in the village provided all immediate needs. The river was a constant soothing backdrop to our slepp.

A lovely restful holiday. Owners very helpful yet not intrusive. The lounge was beautiful with a great position to watch the comings and goings on the many bird feeders.

Wonderful. A most relaxing situation. Spotless...extremely well equipped...attentive hosts without intrusion. This cottage is ideally situated for complete relaxation.....its is rather remote though. Be prepared to travel for civilization...although maybe its not civilization your require! Wonderful local food store and pub...with excellent grub. The Gardens and surrounding area is of breath taking beauty....stunning views, short walk to the beach side and of course the Lochaline Ferry to Mull...another Scottish beauty. ...especially for the bird watchers among us. You can see Golden Eagle...Sea Eagle fishing across from the beach side towards Mull and if you are really lucky....a Pine Martin in your own garden!!! We saw the Martin on our second night...through the large lounge windows at a distance of less than a metre..or in English..3 foot!! This is how all rentals should be...not enough 'stars' in the book to relate to the quality and excellence. Many thanks to Peggy and Martin for their help and understanding.

We had a wonderful time at the cottage. Everything we needed was provided, plus there was the added surprise of cake, fresh flowers, wine and beer. The owner Peggy was there to greet us on arrival and seemed lovely as they live next door she insisted we call if we needed anything. We did not need to call on Peggy and did not see her or her husband for the rest of the holiday, so although only next door you do feel privacy. There was a pinemartin in the garden on our first night, a big fella we became obsessed with spotting again but it was not to be. The cottage is warm, comfortable and pleasing. There was plenty of hot water and the shower over the bath is a good one. The bed is very comfortable with hotel quality bedding. The whole cottage is immaculately clean and decorated. The instructions stated to bring our own towels but towels were provided. There is a good local shop and ferry over to Mull which runs continually from 7am. We did not use the washing machine as we were only staying a week and I brought enough clothes for a month. Oh and you can see the Loch from the bedroom window, lovely gardens and a river running alongside. Would most definately consider going back again.
