Beautiful backdrop for a peaceful and relaxing family holiday. Enjoyed the daily visits from hares, rabbits, bats, pheasants and grouse with the occasional spider dropping by as well. Might have been there in August but still needed the open fire to take the chill out of the evening.

An absolutely lovely cottage in a great location with fantastic views. Belford, which is a few minutes drive away, has a decent sized Co-Op & a wonderful farm shop, plus pubs & a tea room.

Absolutely fantastic cottage, Comfy, clean and dog friendly, our husky absolutely loved sitting on the decking all week, brilliant wi-fi connection and supermarkets only a 20 minute drive away, enjoyed it so much within 2 weeks of returning home we have booked up again for next year

Clearing other peoples hair from the shower plug hole and a build up of fluff from the tumble dryer wasn't something I thought I would have to do. Also finding that the rubbish bin was so full of other peoples fowl smelling rubbish that our rubbish wouldn't fit in. However we felt obliged to drag it several hundred on " bin day " It obviously hadn't been emptied for sometime. Previous guests had mentioned in the visitors book that the property was "tired and in need of a good clean" but that didn't seem to have been addressed before we arrived.T

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the owner; Many apologies the cottage wasn't as clean as we would expect. This is being addressed. I'm sorry that the bins were full when you arrived. Unfortunately, if guests do not put out the bins as requested then collections do get missed which leads to a back-up of rubbish. There are clear instructions in the visitors welcome book and we do rely on guests putting the correct bins out. I'm very sorry this wasn't done before your stay.
