Just minutes to the beach, this wonderful location offers everything to suit all tastes, superb for family getaways.

Situated just a short stroll from the attractive harbour town of Aberaeron, this terraced Grade II listed Georgian house is very comfortable and offers everything for a wonderful holiday. Enjoy sea views and a delightful terraced garden giving great views across the town and Cardigan Bay. Aberaeron is steeped in history, once being a major trading port in west Wales, and many of the colourful painted houses were once owned by sea captains. Today, the town is the jewel of Cardigan Bay, priding itself in lively festivals, exhibitions, events and sporting tournaments. There is plenty of shopping, an array of cafés and renowned restaurants to suit all tastes. Many wonderful cycle routes and walks are available, both coastal and inland, including the route that leads to the National Trust property of Llanerchaeron, a rare example of an 18th-century Welsh gentry estate. With the Heritage Coastline of Ceredigion stretching out in front of you, there are a myriad of places to visit such as quaint New Quay, famous for its bottlenose dolphins, the pretty seaside village of Llangrannog, and the larger university town and resort of Aberystwyth. There are attractions within easy driving distance such as the Rheidol Steam Railway, Devil’s Bridge, Cilgerran Castle, the Dolaucothi Gold Mines and the Cenarth Falls. After a day exploring the wonderful sights, what better way to relax than to chill out around the appealing harbour, watching the spectacular sunset over Cardigan Bay and enjoying some local Welsh honey ice cream. Had a lovely time in Aberaeron - perfect location. House on busy road with no double glazing so noisier than we'd expected. House lovely but for easily fixed irritating niggles like front door doesn't shut unless you lock it, thermostats in radiators don't work, wasn't explained how to use hot water so had cold showers on first day. House well equipped, beds comfortable. Owner contacted us direct to arrange house viewing and I had to clarify with cottage company as no reply to my email saying we'd prefer not. Dog friendly but garden not enclosed - ok but would be good to know when booking.

Lovely cottage in a great location. Only a couple of niggles; 1) The bunk beds are not just narrow but are very short (5ft), my 12 year old was very uncomfortable all week. 2) There is only one bathroom between 8 guests. (There is an outside toilet but it wasn't very nice.) Otherwise lovely and we had a fabulous week!

Loved the house brilliant location just a couple of minutes to the town parking for two cars not a problem but only one bathroom for potentially 8 and outside toilet if you don't mind sharing with the creepy crawly. What we really wanted was a small freezer compartment in fridge for ice a G& T with out ice just isn't the way to go
